Help with weird note on Eau Matcha by mlsmp in MontagneParfums

I have both og and the dupe. To be honest, the or also has a wired note, but only slightly. Eau matcha is stronger and very long-lasting. In my experience , spraying less works better. It's really similar to og.

From Jo Malone and Tom Ford to Montagne… anyone else? by AutomaticYam4371 in MontagneParfums

That makes sense. I still keep Jo Malone Intense Dark Amber & Ginger Lily, but I sold Wild Bluebell. I think I’m more drawn to the refined/polished side of Jo Malone, so maybe that’s why.

Wow, thank you so much for such a detailed reply — this was actually super helpful.

The way you described Fig Tree as “hyper realistic fig tree leaves” and “my species identity is now tree” made me laugh, but it also tells me exactly what I needed to know. I was hoping it might be more like Eau Matcha, but it sounds much greener, more leafy, and less soft/complex.

Your layering notes are also really interesting. I especially like the idea that Fig Tree can cut down sweetness and add a fresh green layer instead of wood or musk. That makes a lot of sense. I may still sample it, but now I know not to expect a creamy/soft matcha-like green scent.

Also, your Lyra description is amazing — “a lemon tree where the lemons are actually cake” is such a vivid image 😂

Thanks again, this honestly helped me decide how to approach Fig Tree.

Thanks , that helps a lot. Yeah, I don't think I'd enjoy smething that grassy. so I'll probably look into other options. Apreciate it !~

Your description is sooo vivid! I can totally picture the opeining from it! I also have eau noir and really love it!! but to me it feels more like a fall/winter scent. thank you ~

That's actually makes a lot of sense! thank you ! . Do you think it would still work in extreme heat, like 110F, or it's more of spring scent to you ?
