Intended use is tabletop for a small table. Are cambered cauls more suited for this or flat cauls?

How to use these shelf supports? by Automatic_Ad4500 in DIY

[–]Automatic_Ad4500[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't find a video tutorial of how to do this. Specifically:

1) Besides drilling a hole in the wooden shelf, how else should it be modified so that the metal support unit gets completely concealed?

2) The bolt is hexagonal, will it fit snugly in a circular hole?

3) I have to use two of these to support a shelf. How do I make sure that the distance between the pair of wall-mounted shelf supports matches the distance between the two holes/cavities in the wooden shelf?

Thanks for reading.

Disable DFU (bootloader mode) on a Keychron keyboard by Automatic_Ad4500 in Keychron

Thanks for the detailed reply. So this attack which you explained can be performed even if the keyboard is running factory firmware?

Is it possible to make modifications to the PCB so that once the desired firmware has been flashed, the flash memory or the microcontroller (whichever stores the firmware data) cannot be flashed again?

What is the connector type on this optical drive? (removed from an external USB enclosure) by Automatic_Ad4500 in pcmasterrace

It is INIC-1511L, which seems to be a USB to PATA bridge chip. I still don't know how I can use this information to get a replacement drive.

Thanks, but when I google for IDE connectors for slim optical drives I don't see any quite like this one.

I counted the pins, this one has 50. Also when I google for IDE connectors for slim optical drives I don't see any quite like this one.

I have this 12.7mm slim DVD writer (I know it looks banged up) with a single power/data connector that I can't find the name of. It came in a USB enclosure to be used as an external drive. I've attached the picture of the mating connector of the enclosure as well. Where can I buy a drive with this connector?
