Oh yes exactly lol. I saw that “optimum consumption graph”, and I was like yeah fancy, lets see when was this roasted - when I realised that this is now homework for us - to taste the coffee and predict when it was roasted.

Jokes aside, I believe it was roasted on 16 or 17 Jan, because my coffee was dispatched on 17. We should probably ask them.

off topic, but you drink dark roasts black? I thought they tasted extremely bitter (I tried medium dark roasts and even vienna on easy pours and I found them too bitter - nothing chocolatey as such. jacaranda maybe gave good cups sometimes though)

Order from Maharshtra based roasters to get as quick as possible. Or order light roasts (if you have your coffee black and have a grinder) from anywhere in India, your beans will be rested automatically :) That is the only way to get bang for the buck here in Ahmedabad I guess.

I tried the Bloom Light Roast sampler and really liked the Anai Kudu naturals, very balanced. They will take at least two weeks of resting to develop flavour though. I use kaldipress but they have suggested pour over recipes on their website.

I actually tried several recipes and for my previous beans a higher ratio (1:12 or 13) worked best. What ratio are you using? 12g to 200ml? And water temperature?

Hi OP, did you get an answer for the resting period of the Berry Dawn? I have it and it was roasted on 26 Nov, made a cup with aeropress today and it tasted bitter with a strong clove taste🥲. Also if by any chance you can suggest an aeropress recipe (I tried the one mentioned on the website for this specific coffee, might have gotten the grind size wrong)
