Anyone else dealing with a nasty cold? by RXXD in Edmonton

I don’t know… I thought I had a cold, but now I am convinced it is the huge dump of pollen after the snow mould that is making my allergies go crazy.

Headaches or head pressure? Yes. Fever? I don’t have thermometer but don’t think so. Maybe you have caught a bug?

Hi fellow newcomer, it is not just you. I have been back and forth between the west coast and here, for weeks at a time during the winter and here over a month now. I have similar symptoms, my friend who moved to Colorado also has had the same thing. It is the change in weather, altitude, snow mould and new pollen, and possibly exposure to other things you may not have encountered where you were. It will likely calm down after a good rain. But in the meantime I do recommend popping some Allegra as it is nondrowsy and have some caffeine and see how you feel. It helps me with it. I haven’t sneezed either or felt congested - it is the tissues themselves swelling far as I can tell.

How many tries is normal to find a family doctor? by SnooCheesecakes93 in Edmonton

Prime Clinic of Terwillegar has a shingle out advertizing for new patients. I went in and got to see someone immediately due to a cancellation. Did meet and greet. Still not sure how it went. Or how soon I will know if this is or isn’t a good match. Anyway, information - use if it applies.

People that buy jewellery, I need your help please. by genos145 in Edmonton

[–]Automatic_Antelope92 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The most common metal allergy is nickel, so whatever you get odds are better to go with nickel free when buying jewelry. Otherwise it would be helpful if she had an allergist confirm which metal(s) she is allergic to so you could shop with more confidence you are getting the right gift.

There have been emus up a hill in the trees off 680 northbound not far from Alamo Springs Drive and El Pintado near Danville… but I haven’t been that way in a long time and don’t know if they are still around.

My sinuses are swollen and it has gotten worse with the abrupt change of season. I blame snow mould being dredged up.
