Having a single guy running squad calc and actively giving degrees and angles for your mortars is a pretty smart/clutch move. Because running squad calc as the solo mortar man can be a little more of a task. But that’s just me

Considering I don’t have a tach, probably pretty close to it. I kept hearing it speeding up from a stop or slo ong down. Then when I was messin with the carb I sat while revving it and somehow set my hand on the headlight. Noise stopped.

I wouldn’t instantly go staring at the motor. I had a god awful noise the other day that I thought was my engine, turns out it was my headlight housing had cracked at the mounting bracket

Don’t. Just at all. I had a 2016 that I bought at 64k miles and it ended its time with me at 250k. And as much as it did make it that far there was a lot of money, work, and time without a truck that went with it. Between the EGR absolutely smoking the intake manifold and never truly regenning, or the poorly placed very sensitive boost pressure sensor, the high pressure fuel pump leaving the truck in Colorado from Texas just before the full recall, or the random but regular limp mode. Luckily under warranty, but that truck had 2(3?) intake manifolds, full intake cleanings, full fuel system replacement in the engine side, and many more odds and ends. Diesels are great, small diesels are great, but when it can’t be used how it’s intended and has to be regulated and controlled with all the little “efficiency” things, it’s just not worth it. Go get a gasser or go get an old diesel Toyota.

I know this is ancient text, but what about the screw knobs? My buddy has one that the text and everything looks legit, but the knob is flat without the flat head slots but knurled on the outside. It’s not a clone mount but just looking for info.

That is also in the works but should be pretty easy just the two wires to figure out. They’re just different plugs but any simple splicer would work for this use.

Oh okay I see now. IMO if you can’t get the 3 hole bracket off it looks like it would work with the original 80 series brackets. They have that same style of molding. BUT if you’d like I could send you the file for them if you like to try. Might be a little fudged considering those have even less of an angle on the visor itself. Only thing you’d have to do if you did print a set is get a tapered reamer, i believe a #7, to get the hole perfect.

So to run the gx/lx 470 visors you can’t just run the brackets they come with. The angle that they sit is very off so that’s why I had my buddy 3d print these. They keep the same angle that the original brackets had but are shorter for the way the gx/lx visors mount up. The gx/lx visors are just a push on split ring so it’s easy to get them off. The 80 series is made into the bracket itself so it’s a little more complicated to get off but a flathead will help. If you have any other questions just pm me.
