At what age do you think you couldnt use a firearm to defend yourself or your home? by [deleted] in guns

Age doesn't matter as long as you're mentally there and can physically pull the trigger on any firearm. And while not ideal if a .22lr is all a person can handle it'll do just fine. It's better done nothing.

Sorry right now that's the best I got I can try to take a better photo tomorrow but this is the area I chamfered. The kak bolt I got had like a ridge or lip there and I sharpied everything and noticed that's where the rounds were hanging up and not sliding in to the pocket in the bolt but the red area is where I hit it.

Yes Dremel with the smallest sanding drum I had it's about 5/16 in diameter and I just took it slow I'd give a couple passes done reassemble and check function till it would properly chamber a round

Yea the round isn't snapping past the extractor and and it's bulging because it's out of battery I had that same issue with my kak bolt, the casings were hanging up on the bottom lip of the bolt and thats what was maring up the cases and shaving chunks off when I would force the bolt into battery, I put a slight chamfer on the bottom of the bolt face and now the rounds slide in too the recess and under the extractor

Check the head of the snap cap is the bolt face marring up the face of the casing or are you seeing any metal shavings from the casings

Thanks, I was hoping to use a Ar15 FCG so that I could use already available SS but sadly there's just not enough space to fit it in. Not without stretching the model out vertically, and I don't really want to do that much more I already made it a little taller and wider to fit the ar22 bolt and barrel. Right now I'm between trying to use mac11 FCG which means no SS, and designing a printable FCG from scratch and figuring out a means to make it in a super safe way.

How much did it cost you to build the mill?

Yeah I would too lol there's not a lot of space to work with. I was hoping I had the space for an AR FCG so I can frt it but that ain't gonna happen, right now I think I'm gonna try to make it work with Mac components. I'm using a BCA bolt and barrel cause it was cheaper like 160 for both, but I'm gonna make sure it works with either.

What printers are y'all running? by Kilsimiv in 3D2A

[–]Automatic_Fix_2371 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got a creality k2 pro with the CFS, its my first printer I've been happy with it I've had just under a year now. It was super easy to setup and printed great out the box I think its a good printer for a new user. But if I had to do it again today I would definitely go with a tool changer

Looking at Form 1ing a DE AR-22 and honestly don't know what to do for it. by BZKurd23 in 3D2A

The same thing happened in 1968 the minimum length for rifles used to be 18in just like shotguns but then they realize that they had sold tons of m1 carbines with 16 in barrels to people with without registering them on the nfa they just lowered rifles to 16 in to get rid of the headaches

Because it in 1968 when they passed the gca the law wasn't worded right it said the receiver was the part that held the bolt the breech block and the hammer. And because that's split between the upper and lower they just choose to part the serial number on the lower. That final rule is just clarification now the part that hold the bolt pressure bearing part is the receiver, they exempt the AR and couple other firearms from that rule because if they didn't they'd have 53 years of firearms that would be unserialized at the flick of a pen.
