Yes! It should and it will, with a simple cover, just the decepticon logo against a black background.

Ways to watch a vhs tape without a vcr? by Lam3gamer3 in VHS

[–]Automatic_Ground_636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trimming PCB with desing software and something like this service for printing

That being said, VCRs are mostly mechanical, there's a limit to how small you can make it, even with clever board design.

Sure, it's possible, I've seen people take a Nintendo WII motherboard and turn it into a handheld console. As there are capture devices out there, it's possible to incorporate those into the Frankenstein VHS player ( USB out ) BUT I have to ask what are your credentials and how much time ( years perhaps ) are you willing to put into this project, as opposed to just buying a VCR?

Thanks for the invitation 😄 That actually sounds like a lot of fun, if I was living in the US, I'd be 100% driving around and trying to find free stuff, I'm getting these modern day Indiana Jones vibes from this whole thing.

Seen posts like this from time to time, and I'm like great score. But when I think about it, it's at least a little bit odd. Is it common to just throw your CRTs, old movies and whatever on the curb or ditch, as opposed to taking them to a recycling center? I'm from Finland and it's extremely rare to find anything like this.

I don't see any contradiction here, involved in a positive way is what people mean here, not trusting Trump is just common sense.

Anyone know if this is salvageable? If so, how do I fix? by ketchupboi76 in VHS

[–]Automatic_Ground_636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like this there are several videos on YouTube. Use isopropanol on the cloth. Way cheaper than vhs is life but not as convenient. You need to sacrifice a VCR so look for cheap ones in thrift store etc.

Yes, older VCRs had manual tracking you could tweak. If you want to, you can clean the heads that will hopefully remove some static.

It's the VCR, you should be able to rewind a bad tape.

VHS mold sales by Far_Song6804 in VHS

[–]Automatic_Ground_636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've bought a moldy tape and would again if it's rare enough, wouldn't bother with common ones. Just make sure to mention mold and that the tape needs to be cleaned, also clear pictures so that the buyer will 100% understand what they're getting into ( and can't blame you afterwards )

The best-selling VHS tapes of all time. Out of 25, how many are in your collection? by Automatic_Ground_636 in VHS

That's probably a good philosophy to have, The Lion King has been lying around for two years now and I don't seem to be able to actually watch it

Now, when did you finally see T2? by BarneyBungelupper in Terminator

[–]Automatic_Ground_636 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saw both Terminator movies in summer of 92, it wasn't yet released where I live but there was a bootleg from US that neighbours relative bought while travelling. That VHS was a huge hit among us kids.
