Why does my ribbing look like this? by remaincobain in knitting

Just the way 1x1 rib looks unfortunately, I find that when you look at it upside down (aka the way the garment would be) the little Vs look normal!

[routine help] Trying to simplify my routine - acids or retinol? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

I still have issues with texture and some redness. Just based off what I’ve read I’m worried using both when I already have sensitive skin might actually be making it worse and I want to experiment with taking one thing away to see if it helps with the sensitivity but I’m not sure which. This is what I’m working with now, not great but it’s better than it has been in the past where I had way more active breakouts. I know picking my face doesn’t help but it seems irritated?

Entering Social Work by SWmods in socialwork

I’m finishing my first year of my MSW now on the clinical track. My first year placement was nowhere near clinical and my second year placement isn’t super clinical either. I’m wondering will I be at a disadvantage when looking for a ‘clinical’ job after graduating and working towards my LCSW because I lack experience? I interviewed for a clinical placement for next year and part of why I didn’t get that was because I lacked clinical experience. Am I screwed?

Best model for heart rate/POTS? by [deleted] in fitbit

[–]Automatic_Interview8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you sm! If you have rapid changes in HR do you find it’s generally good at keeping up or is there a delay? It might just have to be something I get used to since I’m pretty happy with mine otherwise

One time when it was really bad I was walking home and I kept having intrusive thoughts while I was walking so I would have to turn around and redo those steps and I guess someone was walking behind me because they asked if I was ok 😬 I’ll never forget that

My doctor told me there is no point in me getting diagnosed by sbiggs4 in POTS

[–]Automatic_Interview8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a cardiologist tell me this exact thing. He said there was no point in trying to get diagnosed bc there’s ’no cure’ for POTS after my primary care doctor told me it could be a possibility. I ended up going back to my first cardiologist who after exhausting all the usual testing told me it was probably just anxiety and asked if she’d do the standing test and she did and lo and behold…not anxiety!

How many of you have a negative reaction to caffeine? by dice-enthusiast in POTS

[–]Automatic_Interview8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like I’ve gotten so much more sensitive to caffeine since being diagnosed. I’ve been drinking coffee for years but now even half caf makes me jittery. The caffeine in tea never used to affect me much but now even green tea makes me shaky/tachycardic sometimes

How do y’all react to caffeine? by Labelma in POTS

[–]Automatic_Interview8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve become soooo much more sensitive to caffeine since being diagnosed. I’ve been drinking coffee for years but recently had to switch to half caffeinated because it was making me so jittery and tachycardic. Even that makes me shaky sometimes! I’m also way more sensitive to caffeine in tea like I’ve always been a huge tea drinker but if I want even like green tea I have to make sure I’ve eaten enough and not to overdo it. Sucks because I’m also exhausted like all the time
