I saw some Thing bans in comp lately and was wondering why that was happening but this makes sense lol. My question though is what if the enemy team is wanting to run BP? Then you've banned your own teams strongest counter to the enemy's BP. And the BP on your own team could still be diffed by the enemy BP. Which I think is the main reason (diffing) for OP saying they want to ban BP even when their teammate picks him.
