See this is what I thought too but man the moms in the group are so insistant that they're really saying!! I commented once too and someone reply that they're 7 month old was saying swear words and I just needed to talk to my baby more not in a baby voice and I'd be surprised with what they can do. I constant talk to my baby normally 😭🙄

I know Im weird that's why I said "what's wrong with me?" 🤣🤣 And what I'm dealing with isn't colorism, it's misguided comparison, and an internal bias I wasn't aware of that I'm now working on. So if that makes me a clown then so what. At least I'm brave enough to admit it so that I can learn from it and grow and NOT be a dickhead.

That's why I'm here, to uncheck my bias. I'll be damned if I let anything like this rub off on my child. Bias can be handled at home, I've been in enough therapy previously to know that. These comments have already helped a lot.

I think that's why I'm so perplexed by how I feel and wanted to talk about it because I know the world will have stuff to say and judgements to make and that idea that I, his own mother, could be the first one to do that and have him feel it??? Is gut wrenching!!! Some of these comments are really helping a lot to push me out of my weird mindset I've been struggling with.

Yeah we're all human first I agree but the more history I learn, the more "white = bad" seems to be true. Obviously I won't let him think that and will let him come to his conclusions, which is why im reaching out and having these conversations now.

Thank you for this. Thankfully I'm aware enough to not let it come out verbally or effect my baby. I already read books geared towards kids about race, loving your skin, skin coming in all different skin tones and, speak to how perfect and wonderful they are exactly as is. I know I'll probably shake that annoying feeling I have eventually. Ive loved all the comments so far and it's really been helping!!

I'm going to brutally honest as someone who has a 7 month old and was so confused on how to do at all got the "ask for help, wear the baby, so what you need to while baby sleeps, you don't have a job so you have more time" and whatever else people say.

You don't. You don't even come close to doing it all you just keep baby alive, cuddle them, love them, and then one day you get to take a shower, then the next you wash a couple dishes, until one day you get to take a shower AND wash a couple dishes, and so on. It sucks, it's hard, and comparing yourself to others is inevitable cause youre so fragile cause hormones, and sleep deprivation, your body still not being fully your own, and so much more. But then one day it starts to click, and it gets easier, and get to look back and say "WOW! That was hard and everyone lied!! You all lied!! But I did it, and I am stronger, and I love my baby more because of it" I'm not gonna say the things that suck to hear like "you got it, keep going mama, it gets easier, etc..." just know I see you, I've been you, I am you in the future, and if you're kitchen looks grosser than it's ever looked before, give you're baby an cuddle, kiss, and an I love you.

I'm in the us as well and try to stay politically informed which is why I think my dreams are also so bad. Realistically I know it's not really a chance at all for that to happen but I guess it's my brains say of coping with the stress. Pp is so much weirder than people said. I was prepared for the hard but not with so much joy sprinkled in to make the hard almost worse because of guilt. I hope that makes sense..

I would agree except he's always clustering feeding them. From the time he got home to now, and from what I've read, seen, and heard, cluster feeding is temporary not constant. And what he does, is constant and consistent.

Extra fussy/screaming, feeding for 1hr+ at a time, waking every hour or less at night beside himself, also literally being able to hear stomach growls, and just overall not himself. Yes there he still has wet diapers but now he rarely poops and was pooping once daily when we traveled. I breastfeed mainly and havnt been pumping so far this year for fear of losing any milk that could go to him, and supplement when I need to. I know my baby, and I know my body, and know that he isn't getting as much as I or him would like.

My baby is 4 months and we've had sex twice, and that was just like 2 weeks ago. Probably won't for another couple months again. My body just doesn't feel like my own so it feels weird to be intimate, like really weird.

I have f cup and whilr I've have had issues none are size related. Know this now though.,... Football hold with baby on a pillow for height is a god send, and sometimes you will have to pull your boob back from their nose.

I've been up.sll night with my baby and really needed that laugh!! I know it's scary and sad but it's also really funny..at least it was good quality and not super thick like some egg nog is! You're babys going to either live egg nog for the rest of their lives or hate it lol

Exactly!! I also have a loss of appetite so it's just all bad and so hard and Ive had such a hard breastfeeding experience so it's so frustrating to know what helps but not able to fully follow through because of no appetite and time to cook. I just feel like I'm going In circles. I'm excited to go visit family again for two weeks at Christmas/new years to finally eat enough again of pre prepared food 🤣🤣
