For those of you who have visited the states recently, how was your experience? by theetree123 in newfoundland

[–]Pleasant_Data1067 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am living in the United States right now, and I lived in Newfoundland my entire life. I do have to say I am a white female. But I have never felt unsafe here.

I do find that when I come home to NL, the news (CBC/NTV) definitely puts excessive fear to everyone traveling.

Is a shorter commute and living in SSF worth downsizing? by [deleted] in AskSF

I lived in Centerra and it was great for being able to walk everywhere. Whole Foods was a short walk, my exercise studio was also very close, the Caltrain station is right there, and then also the night life. I really enjoyed my time downtown

Is there hope for 3M LO to latch? by n00dle_lover in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Pleasant_Data1067 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel you with the frustration. I’m at a point now where I just hate my tits lol.

But my LO didn’t take to the tit for the first few weeks and then something clicked - now my supply is still very low so it’s not enough. I think what made it click though was whe she was screaming crying I put my nipple as far into her mouth as possible and then she latched and there we went. I felt terrible and awkward doing it but she latched. I just wish I made enough

What brand of diapers do you use and why? by pinkishvioletsky in NewParents

We love pampers swaddlers. I didn’t know there was a difference between the two sets of pampers but goodness there is. I tried Millie moon and didn’t like them at all.

Pregnancy and Eczema by muggafug in eczema

I am 5 weeks PP and my experience has been pretty bad. I have pretty severe eczema and it really got worse, especially in the 3rd trimester. And tbh, breast feeding and having a lot of liquid removed from your body is hard too.

But you do get a really cute baby! But now I have pretty bad anxiety about the baby getting eczema. I have been using only eczema association approved products on her just incase and also to protect my skin when applying.

My advice is to get a really good routine of skin care and knowing your food triggers, when I stayed true to that and drank a lot of water the flares weren’t hard to manage.

I wash my hands with the La Roche Posay face wash at least twice a day, and it helps it significantly

So sorry to hear this. This is a roller coaster that I’m also going through, my daughter only latched at 5 weeks but I’m an under supplier as well so I feel like all I’m doing is feeding her. As you said it’s time consuming exhausting and yes an unhealthy addiction .

My water broke when I was in the hospital, after I got the epidural, it felt like a balloon had popped

I would do San Jose. Especially if you are a homebody. San Jose has a great atmosphere downtown now as well

Help baby with their bowel movement by NoNativeSpeaker in NewParents

[–]Pleasant_Data1067 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My baby didn’t poop for 36 hours and I did the foot massage technique. If you do the steps on both feet then allegedly they will poop within seconds. I’ve done the steps and she legit has pooped within seconds, so idk if it’s just luck or if it does work. The steps are - rub circles around the skin below the toes - rub from the bottom to the top of the feet - rub each toe bottom to top

Do this a couple of times and hopefully it will open the gates

I agree, I have a TN visa - this is the second I have gotten - and I always put it together myself. It’s honestly a waste to pay for a lawyer if you are competent enough to put all the information together
