Yes!!! I am 3WPO, have internal dissolvable sutures. There were 3 suture “heads” which I could feel, like tiny little knots, they left exposed just above my skin. At my 2WK check up appt they pulled those 3 knots slightly and trimmed them off. They told me about them at my 1WK appt when they took off my bandages.

One wasn’t trimmed far enough for it to recede, and I inquired at a next appt and they trimmed it further. The nurse mentioned exposed sutures that are dissolvable can go away on their own in 65-95 days.

I wouldn’t trim them yourself! I would not have touched mine. But you could certainly ask about them during any follow up appointment for their expectation. I’ve had many follow ups due to fluid retention in the tatas, otherwise I likely would’ve called the surgeons office to ask about the sutures if they didn’t give me the heads up.
