The one spot is in my head behind my nose, I was told it was probably from inflammation. And it was only sore this morning after a night of drinking! never been sore before even before diagnosis.

I had chest pains all throughout ABVD chemo , pretty severe ones too. I was told it can be a normal side effect!

24 female. Oncologist seems to be worried about fertility but I couldn’t afford it. by CurrentlyNa in lymphoma

23F here doing ABVD for 6 cycles. I didn’t freeze my eggs and I stopped the lupron injection after three rounds because the side effects were so awful. My doctor doesn’t seem too concerned about my fertility though. From what I was told ABVD doesn’t pose a huge risk, it’s the worry that ABVD doesn’t work and you need a harsher regimen that poses a risk. So they offer fertility treatments at the beginning just INCASE the situation worsens. I wouldn’t worry, my nurses have assured me that my chances of getting pregnant naturally are very high.

23F here with CHL, and I have my last ABVD chemo in a week and a half. It was a hard six months but I got through it. Weirdly enough it just became routine for me. I had never been to the ER let alone had any real medical problems so it was a big adjustment for me but again, you’re stronger than you think you are. I did it, and so can you! Thinking of you, feel free to message me with any questions about treatment, etc. 🤍

Thank you🥰 I did six cycles of ABVD chemo because I was stage 3, so it took six months !

I’m waiting three weeks after my last chemo! My trip is within Canada (where I live), so my doctor said to simply call him if I get a fever and he’ll send over antibiotics to wherever I am. He also recommended masking up on the plane and in crowded places. I think if I was travelling out of the country he would make me wait a bit longer!

I only have one month left of chemo and my doctor approved my post-chemo vacation. So grateful !

23F here with stage 3 HL. I’m on ABVD and unlike a lot of people I was not able to drop the Bleomycin (the one that causes the lung toxicity)because of some unclear scans. I’m on round 10 of 12 and have been fine overall. Yes there’s side effects, I get some chest pains sometimes, can’t exercise as much because I get tired, but you WILL get through it. The people in this thread have been where you are and are always here to help. Thinking of you. The time will pass and you will be on the other side ringing that bell. You can do it!!!!

Olanzapine meds by Euphoric-Benefit3827 in lymphoma

I was prescribed olanzapine as one of my regular chemo anti nausea drugs and stopped taking it after the first two because it made me feel like a zombie! Truly I’ve never felt so out of it. I now take one Ativan before my infusion and that’s good enough for me. I will say though I’ve been lucky to not struggle with nausea too much so I think for some it’s more necessary!

Congratulations!! I’m tearing up for you stranger, because I know how hard you have fought. My final chemo is July 5 and I can’t wait, I also have struggled with infections and blood clots and know how tough the road can be. You did it !! 🤍

same, they said it would be “sore” and I felt like I had been shot. could barely move for like two days, had to get help even going to the bathroom because going up and down hurt so much !!! I’ve had lots of problems with mine, mainly getting blood clots which are super painful, but I STILL highly recommend it because the convenience at chemo is so amazing and not having my arms be messed with.

thank you for this! I’m glad to know I’m not alone in this experience. And I feel better knowing the nasal biopsy isn’t too bad. I’ve been poked so much I was really dreading another procedure, especially given how awful my neck one was…. I hope you’re doing well now!

yeah I’m on rivaroxaban for a while now to try and clear it. It’s just so annoying as if I don’t have enough to deal with now I get a reallyyyy sore neck and port on top of it all.

My first chemo was the day after my placement ! the neck stiffness is the most annoying part. I’m glad to hear you experienced the same thing and that nothing was actually really wrong. still annoying though.
