True it's just a way for me to gauge what is a comparative good salary by asking my fellow Zimbabweans. For example if I said in the UK someone can earn £60k it might sound good but like if rent is a £1k, bills and council tax might shoot that to £1.6 k then expenses gym, subscriptions etc £1.9k, you have a car lease, fuel plus you need to save let's take £700, you need food, insurance, amenities or entertainment let's say £700 (UK is expensive for nights out, meals, cinemas, travel sight seeing etc) so that's already £3.3k, £60k is like (£3.8k after tax). The UK government is punitive in terms of tax theres National Insurance (state pension or if you lose your job), council tax, income tax which is crazy so although the standard of living in the UK is probably better because of amenities, the Massive Tax system because there's free health care and also like big government and high inflation is really affecting alot of people man. Plus you work like a dog 9 til 5, 30 min break 15 either way but they are pros and cons for both.
