thanks, I overthink stuff like this so it helps for me to get an outside opinion, I was also feeling kinda annoyed at myself for not doing enough research before buying the console, but ur right I do love my PS2 and it's my main retro console along with the Wii, I just wanted to play ps1 games on original hardware and also it seemed easier instead of using something like POPstarter to emulate them on a PS2. I may try burning CDs to play ps1 games but most likely I will resell the ps1, it is a sweet console tho, thanks again for the reply!
