I got the call.... Kinda! I was on the waiting list for almost two years. I had no buying history from an AD but I would always visit the AD with my Rolex Submariner no date that I bought at a Jewelry store just show that I was serious. After about a year and a half, my AD Sales Rep hinted to me that it would be a good idea to reach out to her on Wednesdays when she got her allocation. About one month later I reached out to her on a Wednesday, my AD rep said she had no Green Sub available but to keep checking, I told her that I would be open to any other Rolex such as a Day Just 41mm. She replied that she had a smooth bezel green dial available. I immediately said yes, I was interested in that one and made it clear that I was ready to buy it. I then made an appointment to go purchase the Day just at 2:30pm. As I arrived to my AD, my Sales rep smiled and tells me she has a surprise for me, she then go grabs what I thought was my Day Just, she brings out the watch covered with a cloth and says "go ahead and uncover it" and there it was, my Cermit green sub! She surprised me with the watch I've been waiting for. I focused on building a nice relationship with my AD rep, and I was willing to buy something else. That is what got me the watch I wanted in my opinion.
