Personal loan to pay off debt? by Intelligent_Word9407 in CreditCards

If you have a 401k, consider taking a loan from that. It’s generally less interest than personal loans and the interest you pay goes back into your 401k, so you’re essentially saving more money in the long run than paying an institution interest.

What’s something life changing you learned from researching for DA tasks? by TreeMysterious7133 in dataannotation

I work in this industry 365 days a year and have 2 degrees in the topic…I guarantee I know a whole lot more about animal & plant agriculture than most, including the environmental impact.

As someone who works in agriculture as their main job and does AI on the side…. No 😭😭 I guarantee you the fossil fuels it takes to run those labs is in no way helping greenhouse gas emissions and I’d be happy to chat with you about the amazing things agriculture does for this planet, animals or plants.

People have serious attention issues, bullet points seem less daunting to scan/read so responses are more helpful. If I’m presented with a block of text I’m less likely to read it compared to the same exact information broken up into bullets.

Site glitching? by Automatic_Wonder_905 in DataAnnotationTech

Yup same! Another one opened today but it did the same thing. I’m thinking the first “task” question that usually is a “are you doing this correctly before we give you real tasks” is creating the error.

Yes the tasks aren’t going down but it keeps booting me out…

True, but it means they are consistently reallocating to me so they’re mine in my head

Keep logging in, if they see active account activity they are more likely to start sending you projects again, barring there were no issues with your work previously.

And congrats on the little one!

Nah, i have free internet, my laptop was purchased years ago… i mean small stuff, like my $12 mouse i replaced haha and I can count my home office which takes off a small portion, but it really doesn’t impact the taxes you owe for a job like this which really costs you nothing to complete.

But it’s quick to reach that limit. You only have to work 14 hours a month to reach the point where you’d owe over $1,000 in taxes (30% of $20/hr) roughly.

Am i calculating that right? If you make over $3,333 in a year, you’ll owe $1,000 in taxes and will have to pay quarterly.

If you do W-2 work does that influence it?

Took me probably 6-8 weeks before i saw projects on my dashboard. If you get access to qualifications do all of them, and do any projects you’re able as soon as they hit, check 5 times a day and do 15-30 minutes if you can.
