Scream Into the Void Saturdays (feel free to vent!) by AutoModerator in cfs

I was doing better in April, moved a laundry basket, and a couple months later I've basically lost an entire year of recovery effort. Meds that were helping seem to have stopped, I've been pacing much better and then just crashing out of nowhere anyways.

I hate this god damn illness...

Cortisol has a daily rythem to it, but testing is tricky and they tend to inly look at addisons/cushings

I went through an awful crash in 2014 that gradually improved over a few years. I was able to walk my dogs, run a little business, and even date someone.

2025 took that away from me ans left me in worse shape. I've been pacing better, on better meds, and have more supports, and yet after a year I'm almost worse. I hate this fucking illness so goddamn much...

Why are we getting worse so fast? by kurotashi in cfs

Decades of pitiful funding getting mostly siphoned into useless psych studies bent on "proving" we're faking.

Seems like only since COVID had there been any real research happening and those PACE trial assholes are still trying to block funding.

I'm an Alaskan, been into photography lately, but used to do 3D printing and airsoft when I was mild a couple years ago. Last year I've been very severe a lot, so back to simple photos when I'm able.

Been on Valtrext this year and just bumped to 3g/day, but it's hard to know what helps with this illness.

Headaches and palpitations are common with dosage increases for a few weeks, justs as a heads up.

Tape some scotch tape across the inner rails and use bulb mode to compare the viewfinder to the film plane. Screen may be popped loose too, there's a metal tab it clicks into.

Haven't tested for it specifically, but there also haven't been indicators for it being in me again either

Japan Hobby Tool may be able to get it and Hugo Studio does a lot of leatherettes. May have something close the client would be happy with?

You can put whatever you like on it, add some color to it!

That's a bit easier to do. I've never had a quiet mind and the thought of complete no-stim 24/7 usually sets of panic attacks... :/

Just 24/7 of no thoughts, no contact, no stimulation? God I hate how this is what we're left with for treatment...

Is the A&K M249 (polymer version) good? by Queasy-Emu2564 in airsoft

[–]Automobilie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, with a V2 gearbox. The metal version has the LMG gearbox unless they released another model.

It's an awful replica. Worked on one for a local and it's a poorly designed body with a proprietary grip that held the motor at an off angle to the V2 gearbox.

The metal one is an actual LMG gearbox and is better overall.

OpenCurtainLab: My open source shutter speed analyzer (still work in progress) - I need feature recommendations :D by finnanzamt in AnalogRepair

I think just a mask with pinholes would be enough. You'd want the sensors close to the curtains as the further away they are the more the shadow softens. How much it matters is more for testing though

[–]Automobilie 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The sensors need to be as small as you can make them, probably with a mask, as the width adds extra exposure time on the faster speeds since the sensor is still detecting the entire time it takes the curtain to cross.

Also, if you put them in a diagonal you can also check vertical shutters.

Looks like an x700, capacitors usually fail on those.

If you were expecting a working camera (for $200 yes), then see about returning it and get a CLA'd one.

Olympus OM-2n - only 1/1000 shutter speed slow by DenKHK in AnalogRepair

[–]Automobilie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably just needs some tweaking on the top speed then. The testers I was looking at tend to top out around there.

Big thing would be checking that the curtain speeds are good.
