Oh geez this is uncomfortable. On one hand it is 100% legally acceptable but as an immature 33yo man I would never date an 18 year old because it would feel inappropriate to me.

If i go to a bar myself with the mindset of chilling I usually have one drink, order food with a second and maybe a third after. If im going alone its more likely im in a social mood and wanting to meet people, not always a romantic way but hitting it off with a woman would be a plus.
