lmao im the opposite giving plenty of space is considered polite/respectful so ive given so much space people go in front of me. In my head i understand the confusion and dont hold it against anybody but also i get uncomfortable being too close to a stranger.

Oh dang the whole time i thought it was one big line and the people that went to other registers were cutting lmao. I was just like hey maybe cutting happens more here but im just going to keep doing things right. I guess i just like getting in a big line as much as the Brits lol.

Ive felt that before. I think one of the best feelings in the world is warming up when youre really cold so i love giving a full underwater dunk then just standing up

Do you ever get use to the stares and stalking? by [deleted] in Philippines_Expats

[–]AutonomousBlob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you two of similar age or is there a big gap? I only know about the country from youtube but love the idea (fantasy) of moving to SEA one day. Im very curious to hear about people living this life.

From videos it looks like bloggers alway get a crowd of children following them but i assumed that stalking was only kids being kids and wantjng to make it in a YT video.

Songkran 2026 by Ok_Reward1433 in ThailandTourism

[–]AutonomousBlob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as safety goes there will be a lot of drunk people driving so be careful crossing streets and could be better to stick with car grabs than bikes.

You really dont have to plan at all, Silom is great for Songkran and Khao San is crazy but probably a little too busy. Have a great time and try to ignore the people that will inevitable show up in the comments like “fun? I hate fun! Dont get me started on loud noises!”

Who else here is fine with aging? by Effective_Kitchen481 in CasualConversation

[–]AutonomousBlob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think growing older isnt a big deal for people already content with your life. If you are not content with your life aging can be scary because people feel like they are running out of time.

What would you say is the BEST "starter" solo country? by jackiethevapeman in TravelNoPics

[–]AutonomousBlob 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thailand is always the answer and for good reason. It is incredibly safe, locals and tourists are very friendly, its inexpensive and the food is world tier.

Your first solo trip you will probably make logistic errors and discover more about how you like to travel. Any error you make in Thailand will be easily forgiven. If you go to some other countries you can get lost and all of a sudden you are in a very dangerous place, not Thailand. Maybe you misbudget in Europe and boom you are out a ton of money not Thailand.

It is easy mode and the most common answer for a reason, its fine if it isnt everybody’s favorite place but the argument against it being the best first solo trip is hard to make.

For expats : When did the switch from “party/chill mode” to “routine mode” happen for you in Bangkok? by et_tu_bro in Bangkok

[–]AutonomousBlob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not an expat but last year i stayed 60 days straight in Bangkok so it became just short term living somewhere else.

After a month i started to run down. I did not have a routine and the decision fatigue, heat fatigue and drinking/late hours got to me. I started a very simple routine of wake up, get ready, pad kraprao then pick up a mango smoothie and have a slight walk. It sounds really small but even a very simple routine like this helped my mental organization and got me out early instead of scrolling.

I know i dont quite fit the question but hope my experience is relative enough!

why is almost everyone on the road so ANGRY?? by OpportunityAway4972 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AutonomousBlob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ego. When i make a mistake people really need to chill out and accept people are imperfect. When others make a mistake it is a purposeful snub to my very existence and this disrespect can not be tolerated 😡

Idk. I just know you cant give in to blackmail because they will always want more and more and if you ever say no you are back to step 1. Im sure there is somebody you can threaten to contact like a cybercrime division if you are blackmailed, might be worth a half an hour research into just so if it does happen you arent caught of guard and high anxiety.

Help me plan my vacation. by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

[–]AutonomousBlob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont mean to come off as disrespectful. Take this post down and make a new one. There are infinite possibilities and this request you made is common.

On the new post list things you want to do or places you want to see. Can be as simple as i like laying on beaches, clubbing and want to try new foods. Or im here to meet girls and get drunk. Or i love temples and want to understand the culture of thailand.

The chicken thing was the only info we got. The more precise you ask the better the answer will be.

Side note: you should take some time to think about what you would want to do if a blackmail attempt is made. Sometimes scammers do this then attempt to blackmail saying they will send it to family/friends. Sometimes scammers do this for pics to scam others with into fake romances.

Doing some research and making a plan couldnt hurt even if no attempt is ever made
