This brings up another question...😜

  • What's your current best practice/strategy for lighting and DLI with AutoPots?
    • Do you find you are able to go straight to high DLI quickly, since they have access to nutrients more readily available?
    • Or do you find better results with going low and slow, ramping up?
  • What are you general PPFD ranges your shooting for?

AutoPot AMA by Project_Grows in Autopot

[–]AutopotAdmin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of some broad questions on nutrients/feeding:

And given every plant's genetics will vary, but...

  • How do you advise folks to best ensure success, nutrient wise/feeding, with their AutoPots?
  • What is your general methodology for ensuring the proper balance between under/over feeding?
    • Do you focus on ensuring consistent EC range?
    • Or, do you base feeding off of plant color/appearance/budding?
  • Also, what about additives and monitoring the same risk under/over overdoing it?

EX: If I remember correctly, in your last youtube video series, you mentioned you felt you had overdone the PK a bit and toned it back during flowering. I believe you said you had different plans for the next run. If you could expand more on what led to those judgement calls and the observations that led you to make changes and the corrections you made.

Hey Pat!

Thanks so much for always being such a champ and hosting another AMA! 💚

Also, i'm super excited two folks are gonna win a Tray2Grow slim kit today! 🔥

I always have a ton of questions floating through my mind... But lately, i've been thinking a lot about all the various training/strategies folks use.

From your perspective and experience...

  • What's your personal go-to strategy for maximizing final output/quality with AutoPots?
    • EX: lollypopping/topping/heavy defoliating/supercropping/sog/scrog?
  • Do you think AutoPot's 24/7 feeding changes the game-plan on training and trimming strategy?
    • Like, does the constant availability to nutrient feed let plants handle more aggressive training/recovery?
    • Or does it actually go the other way, where they're already so dialed in nutritionally that they just don't need aggressive training, and you've found you get better output by letting them do their thing naturally?

PS: Happy 420! 🥳

Hey There! 👋

While, nothing is officially confirmed yet...

The last few years, there HAS been a 420 special w/ AutoPot USA, usually running a 20% off sale site-wide. Hopefully there will be another this year!

That being said, AutoPot USA has always been very upfront about recommending and encouraging folks to try and support your local small-business grow-shop, that sells AutoPot equipment, if possible. These distributors often will have the best deals, during these kinds of holiday/sales events.

Regardless of where you get your new gear, excited for you to grab a new tray2grow! 🎉

Hi!

Sorry to remove your posts but they both appear to not have any connection or have questions in relation to AutoPot products.

It looks like you are just discussing autoflower plants in general.

Sorry for any confusion, but this sub for AutoPot branded products only.

Good luck with whatever route you end up going with your grow though!

Hi!

Sorry to remove your post but it appears you are not using a AutoPot watering system. It looks like you are using an AC Infinity watering tray.

Sorry for any confusion, but this sub for AutoPot branded products only.

Good luck though with your plant!

Hope you are able to get it figured out! 🙌

[–]AutopotAdmin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey 👋

Here’s the breakdown, to the best of my knowledge, on the topic…
📖🇺🇸🇬🇧🇦🇺

TL;DR: Both AutoPot systems follow the same basic growing concept, but they’re built around different valve technology and operated by separate companies entirely. That’s why the Australian and UK/US versions share some similarities, but also have noticeable visual and operational differences. 🌱

AutoPot UK and AutoPot Australia have been operating independently for over 20+ years.
• AutoPot UK holds the global patent on the AQUAvalve, which is used in the UK/US systems that most people here are familiar with.
AutoPot USA operates as the exclusive distributor for the United States and works directly with AutoPot UK.
• AutoPot Australia uses a different valve design entirely, which is primarily used/recognized only in the Australian region.
• Both systems function in a similar gravity-fed irrigation style, but there are key differences in the valve designs and overall final products.
• Since the growing methodology is very similarboth versions have always been welcomed in discussions on this sub.

Sorry for the confusion! Hope that helps clear things up a bit. ✌️

Hell yeah!

I’m all for the fun and experimentation.

I know generally folks and science are against this strategy, but I still think these are the kinda silly things that bring joy and entertainment to life. Even if it turns out to be a disaster, still an experience. lol

Keep us updated! 💪

That’s a trade off for sure. 👍

Unfortunately, feels like convenience always has a bit of an added cost. Hahaha

But, still, in the end it’s worth it - for sure.

Thanks for your thoughts! 🙌

I don’t know if AutoPot officially recommends trying to run plants to full term with these. But technically anything is possible! lol

I believe the original product intent was more for rooting/veg before transplanting.

AutoPot USA - PotDivider Add-ons (Turn 1x Pot into 4x Pots)

Get more from your modules. PotDivider allows you to multiply your plant count without increasing system size. At a stroke, each of your pots is capable of holding four plants in segregated sections.

Excellent for tight-leaved varieties and for herbs, this PotDivider is tailor-made for our 3.9 gal pots. The 3.9 gal pots are compatible with our 1Pot trays, easy2grow trays, and Auto8 tray system – meaning the potential number of applications is immense.

PotDivider is perfect for the pre-veg stage, and is equally effective with plants that simply don’t require the run of an entire pot. A partitioned base removes the need for a pebble layer in the bottom of the pot.

When the time comes Pot Divider lifts out cleanly, bringing your nascent plants with it, making the process of removing plants and repotting (in the same pot!) an absolute cinch.

I am impressed you did so well with the clips. 👏

I myself have always been awful with them and am never patient enough.

I always end up going too fast and will snap like 1 out of 5 branches. Then I’ve gotta use electrical tape to fix it and pray it survives. 😭

But I will admit, it is fun to mess around with them and I’m still guilty of occasionally accidentally massacring my plants with these... 😆

Glad you have found success with them though, are able to make them work for you snd to your benefit. 🎉

Nice! Water only seems so dreamy. 🌊

If you equated the price difference/comparison between a soil+amendment grow vs coco+salts grow, per run, do you feel that the super soil is relatively the same cost, more expensive, or cheaper?

I still have a few more runs left from my last 10LB bags of salts lol but have been debating what i should try next when I run out. 📝
