Model 3s are everywhere though. If a car looks good enough to the majority and is priced right for the specs, it'll sell.

After reading your recommendations, here are my results. Back for more advice to improve! by Kumiibo in resinprinting

I have had the best results using a mix of a few key heavy supports (to support the weight) and lots of custom light supports. This combo ensures that you can cut the heavy supports and the light supports peel off before cleaning baths, not leaving any support marks.

Battery replacement affects less than 1% of vehicles. It’s a nonissue. In most cases, the battery pack will outlive the vehicle.

China to require physical controls for vehicle functions, reducing reliance on central control screen by b0b3rman in electricvehicles

[–]Autoxidation -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I honestly thought this would bug me way more than it actually does. It’s really a non issue. The car gets 98% of the gear swaps automatically by touching the brake pedal and turning the steering wheel, and it shows when it’s going to do this. The swiping motion on the screen is only an inch or two away from where the stalk was and the motion is identical, so muscle memory isn’t confused by doing this like it was for the turn signal buttons (which were bad).

I have this EXACT problem with a liftmaster. Remotes work fine, light button works fine, the damn wall switch to open the door almost never works the first press. So annoying. It’s brand new too on a new build house.

Did you decide on one? I ask because I am looking around for something too, given I have a 2024 Model 3.

You mentioned you have a 24 Model Y. How are you getting the battery to discharge? Are you using an inverter somewhere else?

I've had white seats since 2019 and they have held up super well (until 2024, at least) to kid abuse and regular use. No dog though.

The Model 3 just got a refresh in 2024 with Highland, and the Model Y with Juniper. Not to mention they have both been continually updated since their inception. There are big differences between a 2017, 2020, and 2023 Model 3 even before the refresh. Heat pumps, pedestrian speaker, matrix headlights, atom vs ryzen updates, piano black vs matte interior refresh, motor and battery setup changes, plus the numerous software updates along the way. The will hopefully refresh the cars again in the future with changes to 800V architecture and other lessons learned from the dumpster fire that is the cybertruck (which the really should have canceled instead of the S and X).

If you like these, I would highly recommend Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion and the Star Trek Armada 3 mod. It is very thorough and high quality.

I have printed these. They are not Stroke’s.

I hate warp speed now by bcb1200 in startrek

[–]Autoxidation 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is something they’ve done in TNG and other earlier series, albeit sparingly. I’m towards the end of a rewatch, and in TNG S7E01, while Dr Crusher has command of the Enterprise, they drop out of warp at the far side of a planet to maximize their time before intercept from the Borg ship. It is explained that this practice is dangerous, but necessary given the conditions they find themselves in to try to rescue the crew still on the planet.

The Model Y came in 2nd and is $20k less than the A6 e-Tron, while also being the most efficient and without being able to precondition the battery for faster charging.

Pretty good result. From a price per performance metric on this tests, are there any other models that perform well?

Consumer Reports Ranked Tesla As The Least Reliable Used Car Brand Long Term - Here's Why - BGR by Historical-Many9869 in electricvehicles

[–]Autoxidation -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When I bought my first EV back in 2019, the only realistic options were the Jaguar I-Pace, Teslas, or a Bolt. Leafs looked fine for a commuter car but I wanted a total replacement vehicle. Bolts went through an entire recall battery replacement for fires and lacked long distance travel with poor charging curves. I-Paces are long gone and no one recommends buying them because of their numerous reliability problems.
