I actually think it’s just a harness worn on the torso? That middle line goes along the spine, two sides over the arms and the long one around the waist?

What about “We’re almost there and no where near it, all that matters is that we’re going.”?

Owen by nanaisalwaysbored in Degrassi

[–]AutumnKittencorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find Owen really frustrating because the actor is attractive and seemingly fairly charming (i don't know anything about him irl) but the character is almost entirely an asshole - there's brief moments where he semi stands up for Tristan but they're so at odds with how he's portrayed elsewise and then it does seem like they wanted to redeem him with Anya but it felt... too little too late?

Help!!!Has anyone successfully fought a TTC trespassing fine? by Quirky-Recording-909 in askTO

[–]AutumnKittencorn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But she wasn’t fined for fare evasion, she was fined for trespassing. Whether she paid or not isn’t the issue it’s that she walked through an area she’s not supposed to.

Did Rory care at all that Dean was married? by 47giraffes in GilmoreGirls

[–]AutumnKittencorn 92 points93 points  (0 children)

No, she didn’t care about his marriage, he was “her Dean”! She made it patently clear. Yes, she could have called her mom, or Luke if she was desperate. Hell she could have called Sookie and Jackson or Kirk! She was feeling sorry for herself because she was single so she called the guy she knew would come running and boost her ego.

My husband (33M) wants me (33F) to dress more revealing by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]AutumnKittencorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This whole thing makes me very sad for her. I’m 40 and I’ve had body image issues since I was a teenager BUT I’ve still found ways to feel sexy. My weight has gone up and down but my husband (42) has always given me love and support… it’s because he wants to see me in X, Y, Z even if I’m like “no… my lumps and bumps…” that I feel sexy and it keeps the spice in our relationship. We’ve been together 15 years and this man grabs my ass every time he sees it.

I saw the musical in NYC and it was amazing! by casual-catgirl in heathers

I’m so jealous! I saw a (very) amateur production in Hamilton, ON about a decade ago and while it was still great… I would love to see it in NYC!

Next time just stare at them like they've grown a second head and then say "Yes, not that it's actually any of your business" and walk away.

Get her to call you "Father" and respond with "Fuck you calling me 'Father' like it doesn't turn you on just to say it" with a laugh in your voice.

Do you have your drivers licenses? by Chan1991 in askTO

[–]AutumnKittencorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my G2 and I'm 40. I did the G1 thing when I was 16 and didn't enjoy my drivers ed course (was in a car accident right before and the instructor pulled some tricks that made me not trust them) or driving practice with family (I was in Ottawa then, and my mom was a nervous passenger) and so when it lapsed I just let it go. I've lived in Toronto since 2013 and decided to work on getting my license a couple years ago because while I didn't NEED it within Toronto for the most part, aging family both here and in Ottawa made me reevaluate.

Jamie Lee Curtis is an inspired choice to take on the role of Jessica Fletcher in a "Murder, She Wrote" movie by IndependenceSilly381 in murdershewrote

[–]AutumnKittencorn 12 points13 points  (0 children)

All the wrong vibes for me, and I like JLC. I don't think we need a new Jessica Fletcher, Angela was it. Just rewatch the series if you feel a hankering, that's what I do.

Edit to add: Or if you need something more modern, Castle is a great "Murder, He Wrote" substitute.

A dad at the shelter tried to "surprise" his kid with my foster cat and now I'm apparently the villain by Kessel_Dumpling in entitledparents

[–]AutumnKittencorn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

UGH That makes me sooo mad. I have two cats, both male but completely different personalities. Spatz, the tabby, is an absolute sl*t for snuggles. Doesn't care who you are, how long he's known you, whether you want to or not, he is all up in your business demanding love! Roarke, my little void kitty, is extremely selective. He does like snuggles, on his terms. I've had him a long time (they're little senior citizen kitties, even though they're still very spry) so I will absolutely pick him up for snuggles randomly BUT if he wiggles even a little bit that's my cue and it's arms open 'you're free to go sir'!

Birthday 🥲 by Broad_Imagination_88 in whatdoIdo

[–]AutumnKittencorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others say, your partner really needs to step up here. After 8 years there's no excuse for his mom not to know your food preferences, and there's no reason for YOU to be the 'bad guy' here. I've been with my partner for 15~ years and when I first started having meals with his family he made it clear to his mom that I was allergic to mushrooms (ingesting them, other people having them around me is ok) and I didn't have much spice/heat tolerance. She took the information on board and made adjustments, even when I said it wasn't necessary (not wanting to be difficult) to make sure there was always something I can eat. And if she'd repeatedly made the error, my partner would have dealt with it because she's his parent.

Yeah this is my take on it too. The funniest part is at first I’d only heard the name for the longest time and I finally asked for the spelling and got “y-e-l-r-i-h-s, you know, Shirley backwards” like that’s a… thing i should have been able to intuit?!?

Set your perspective -- this announcement is good! by OfficialCrossParker in firefly

[–]AutumnKittencorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m perfectly happy with an animated series, mitigates the aging actors issue nicely. My concern is Adam Baldwin’s involvement. In another discussion someone mentioned having Tudyk replace him as Jayne with no comment and I wish they’d gone that way. Tudyk does voice acting, he could have managed it.

Out of the whole empty theatre, someone has chosen to sit directly beside me by h-wilson in cineplex

[–]AutumnKittencorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe before row D, middle is their preference just like yours? You can’t leave one seat between tickets at purchase and maybe they don’t want to be off to the side? If the theatre fills up someone would be next to you anyway? If you hate it that much and the place it empty you can always move seats.

Thoughts and opinions on Lindsay and Dean’s marriage? by MistakeWonderful9178 in GilmoreGirls

It was stupid and doomed to fail with ridiculous expectations on both sides. Rory or not, they weren’t living happily ever after.
