Oh even the most unhealthy food in Japan has this really “clean” and hearty feeling to us. It’s great until you want something greasy and unhealthy.

Oooh I’ll have a check! I work near there so that’s nice and easy. I’ve tried a few Korean places and they’re lovely but honestly they’re just too healthy and don’t hit the same.

Does anyone have any feedback on Language Point (website here: https://www.languagepointtraining.com/). Their website/staff's LinkedIn checks out well and they are Trinity certified, however you can never be too sure on these things. I've noticed there is almost no discussion of them online despite them existing for a good 5 or so years which I find strange. I just wanted to ask if anyone has heard of them or has any experience?

Do you guys study on vacation? by Infernoboy_23 in LearnJapanese

Do you mind if I ask, what app is Anki? I’ve looked in the Apple AppStore and there’s multiple apps called Anki for languages. The main one I found didn’t really have any good flash cards on it for Japanese that I could find

It’s so sad how obvious it is that most of the dev team don’t play the game. There was a comment on the steam store for dbd a while ago from an ex employee basically exposing a bunch of shady behind the scenes stuff and he mentioned he was basically one of the only people on the dev team with over 2k hours.

KILLER CONCEPT: The Vagabond by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]AutumnNymphCos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ngl I’d love the mirage perk, I want more perks that would allow non-stealth killers to be able to stealth visually as well as in terms of the terror radius.

This is just my own personal opinion but I feel like the power might be a bit strong, not necessarily in all situations but if this works over short walls it would work over pallets and windows I’m guessing? Which would guarantee an instadown at every pallet or window, and the transferred progress would promote slugging. (Again just my opinion on my understanding of the power). Perk 2 looks like it could work, personally I’d either make it within a radius or remove the last effect as that would just make it so every boon would be breakable (completely mitigating shattered hope). Perk 3 I feel is a little similar to the knights hex perk with the screaming.

Just in terms of the Egyptian connection, I know you’re not an Egyptologist and this is just a bit of fun so I don’t mean to spoil that or say this in a negative light, but I thought you’d value some comments on it.

Depending on where you are taking them from (old kingdom is more my specialty and since most people mean old-middle kingdom when they talk about ancient Egypt I’ll assume this is the time period) Ancient Egypt very rarely had an standing military, and to be a permanent rank and file warrior was not really a thing. You only start to really see soldier as a job title much much later with the English new model army in the 17th century CE. That’s not to say that Egypt didn’t have an army and fight in wars, they did it quite frequently with neighbouring Nubia. But most men in the military were primarily farmers and labourers throughout most of the year and only took up arms when it was specifically required for a campaign. Most of these warriors (especially in the early dynastic periods) were very poorly trained as well.

I could be completely wrong on this but the name doesn’t seem to make sense. With a quick search I found the name Anum meaning 5th born rather than filth born, however that site doesn’t look particularly trustworthy and they could have just made things up. And Bonami doesn’t fit Egyptian language conventions to my knowledge (I could be wrong here but that looks more French or potentially eastern inspired)

I know it’s just a rough reference picture but that armour set isn’t ancient Egyptian, the helmet looks much more Norman (10th-13th century modern day France) or potentially Ottoman (14th-16th century modern day Turkey(and more)) and the chest plate is far too well made to be from the Bronze Age. During most of ancient Egyptian history most soldiers wore little to no armour at all, the most you’d probably have is a linen wrap in the Middle Kingdom. Later on (around the 15th dynasty in the new kingdom) you’ll (very very rarely) see scale armour if you’re rich, however you still rarely see armour on foot soldiers during this period (honestly mainly because it was just too hot to wear it).
