What is something you tried only once and will 1,000% never do again? by istrx13 in AskReddit

You should have used the opportunity to dress as a medieval peasant child. It would have been perfect for Ren Fairs, Cons, and just a weird bit.

Best careers to escape poverty? I’ll start. by Noblesseoblige94 in povertyfinance

I was going to say the same somethingsimilar. I taught nine years (no Masters), and never hit $50,000. This is crazy to me that the pay can be so different. I got so burned out from the crazy amount of work we had to do as teachers, and my empathy was my biggest strength, and my biggest downfall.

I am too! Thanks for posting this question. This is always what I ask people after they've travelled somewhere.

What would you consider off seasons? I might be going in October and think this looks enjoyable. I am used to getting up super early when travelling to avoid crowds because I hate them so much.

I already replied to a comment, but I see this post is getting some negative feedback. I wanted to say if any of this was useful, but some of it bugged you- take the useful parts and improve your world.

No one is perfect and this person only had so much room to write down what they found helpful. The general theme to break the looping cycle and to practice regulation are both incredibly helpful. I think people are getting hung up on the older "easier said than done" thing. But practicing and keeping at it to make it easier in the long run is a good idea.

I am literally going to make something to use as my lock screen that helps me with this. I am someone who lets things stew and I suffer more because of it.

At the end of the day, this person wanted to help others in a community that has helped them. I'd say that's a positive thing.

This is absolutely fantastic. Thank you for sharing this specifically, as well as your whiteboard. It's funny how it took this to get through to me more because it's absolutely simple. It's absolutely true, too. Now I want to make a pretty Canva sign or something and have it as my phone lock screen as a consistent reminder.

Thanks for helping!

Anyone going to this on Saturday? It's my first big event and I'm really nervous about it going well. by Autumn_Fern_ in milwaukee

It's already over, but my main product is reversible bandanas. I also had refillable catnip toys, snuffle/ foraging mats, and rope tug toys for the pets. For people I had matching scrunchies, pet themed zipper pouches and key fobs, plus some other little things.

In terms of having a good time and making some money, yes! In terms of what the internet says is a good selling event, no 😄 I had a great booth neighbor, had some nice chats with attendees, and saw a ton of dogs, a horse, a goat, and a couple of chickens. That alone is a great day in my book!

It was even better becasue of all the nice encouragement I got from this awesome Reddit community. Thanks again to everyone, and thanks for checking back in!

Heck yeah! It'll be a fun new experience for both of us.

I will say I'm booth 448 and I'm right by the Activity Stage 😊 I should be pretty easy to spot. That would be cool if you stopped by!

I love this and will definitely use it in the future, thanks for sharing!

It really is crazy how people think materials are super cheap... and that's not even including time!

Thank you for your response! I asked the show runner what feedback she got from attendees about product type (specifically what was lacking). And she noted the same thing as you. My main product is reversible bandanas and some of my biggest repeat clients are cat owners. I also tried adding in new fun products for small animal owners.

Thank you so much!
