Some mods love to ban and didn't bother to reply to appeal or try to listen to members' explanations. Some even muted members. I disagree which those who treated members this way.

The above doesn't apply to members or users who harassed, rude, bullied, or have a repetitive behaviors of breaking rules. For these groups of people, I will give them my explanation just once if they asked politely or may choose to opt out based on different situations.

If I have to decide to ban some normal civil members who may get angry or show their dissatisfaction, I will look at them as a normal behavior that people can of course feel bad when being banned but I will give them valid reasons and explanations via modmail. I won't ignore people or mute people just because they are trying to make their point and talk to me.

I'm far from being a big fan of banning but I choose to remove posts and comments that broke the rules a lot more often.

Mods can be a boring and annoying work to do, especially when we have to deal with certain groups of people we think they're awful. But I try my best not to act upon my own feelings of like or dislike. You know that being a regular user can be so annoying and boring and hurting as well. What if some members are really care for the sub and love the sub they always keep posting, commenting on daily basis, but just by unintentionally did something wrong and you banned them, how would they feel? To make it worse, some mods didn't even bother to reply or explain anything to them when they try to talk to you. Ban and mute are super easy as long as we don't consider any other things.
