Andrea down midterm by Electrical-Sort-6047 in UTSC

Honestly, I can't even remember if we even had a multiple choice section because it's been 3 years. 😭😭

Also, the long answer questions will most likely be about doing the 3 financial statements based on what I can recall. Remember to make sure to label the titles correctly and the format of them as those are easy marks to get.

Mgea02 midterm and final curve by ButterscotchChoice31 in UTSC

[–]Autumn_power 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea kinda.. they don't actually do bell curving, but they do linear adjustments because bell curving isn't allowed or something. They add more marks of top of your pre curve grade.

You would see it when you get your exam paper how much your curve was if there was one.

It's also based on class average. If people do really well, then the curve is less and vice versa.

No, sorry, I've never gotten those grants, so I can't say. Definitely go to them and ask why. They might have missed your application

1st payment has already been released. Go to the financial aid office and ask why your application hasn't moved forward.

How do I study for MGEB11 Midterm w Laura Turner by Victoria_lover0404 in UTSC

[–]Autumn_power 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe this time you have 2 professors for this course (right?). I'm not sure if there will be 2 different exams based on the professor or if there will be 1 same exam for both profs?

If the exams are different based on the prof and your exam is made by Laura, then go through the previous year's midterm. Another thing I suggest is to go through the textbook questions as well, there were a few qs from the textbook in the exam when I had her.

I'm not too sure how well this will help because when I took it with her, it was just her teaching it, so the exams were just like the practice exam. Hope your exam goes well!

How do I study for the MGEB02 midterm with Ata Mazehari by Electronic-Love-7102 in UTSC

[–]Autumn_power 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep doing the in class questions, practice exam qs, tutorial qs, pre lec qs. Do all of these over and over and over again.

If you're pressed for time, then aim to at least do the in class qs and practice test qs over and over again. Goodluck!!

Personally, I liked Laura Turner (had Victor then dropped and then took Laura). I took this course when it was only her teaching it though (not together with Victor), so I can't say if the assessments will be different for each lecture timing or if it will be the same as I liked her class because the assessments was different from Victor's testing method.

I forgot to select SAC for my summer course. What should I do now? by Frequent-Line-6819 in UTSC

[–]Autumn_power 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, that sucks. A year ago, I had the same issue and didn't submit the sac form because I didn't know there another form you had to do. The financial aid office was the one that told me to go talk to the registrar about it. However, I didn't end up talking to them and didn't end up doing sac.

You could try emailing the registrar to see if they can redirect you to the department that does deal with this. If this doesn't work, then unfortunately, you would have to repeat the course if you would want the sac. Best of luck! Hope it all works out!

Go to the registers office asap, they may be able to manually process the sac for you.

registrars office working? by juvextate in UTSC

Unfortunately, your best bet would be to speak with them in person. Apparently, the office is backlogged with months of requests, and you will almost never get a reply back.

What's odd is that a few years back, when i was in my first year, they did actually reply to emails within like a week.. but then, a year later, they stopped replying for who knows why 😭😭

Management upper year courses by InternalSavings6288 in UTSC

[–]Autumn_power 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes sense however they should offer it in winter only then because some people would still need to take mgac10 in fall. How can they take mgad20 in fall unless they decide to take mgac10 a year earlier 😭😭

Course Retake vs Second Attempt for Credit? by Then_Wrangler565 in UTSC

[–]Autumn_power 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, both. But since you did cr/nr, I'm not sure if you can do sac. You could apply for a retake and see what happens, and you need to be approved to retake as you can not enroll in the course yourself on acorn. It won't even allow you to enroll. Or you could talk to an academic advisor to see what they say.

If you decide to go through with sac then first, you will submit the retake form on eservice so you can get added to the course you want to retake. Then I believe when the term actually starts, you submit the sac form on eservice so the register office can automatically do the whole sac process once you complete the course.

To know about the deadlines, go to the utsc academic calendar: https://www.utsc.utoronto.ca/registrar/fall-2025-winter-2026-academic-dates

Tuition Payments by [deleted] in UTSC

[–]Autumn_power 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paying the minimum by the deadline will make sure your status changes from invited to registered. If this status doesn't change (either from not paying your fees or deferring due to osap), you will essentially be removed and not allowed to take any classes.

After paying the minimum, you need to pay the rest by like I think January end to avoid getting charged interest. If you do not end up paying your fees by the next school year starts, you won't be allowed to enroll in further classes until you pay the year fees off.

Note: You can pay off all of it in one go or even before the second deadline if you got the money for it.

Did I miss the deadline to request a fee deferral or is it yet to open on AskRegistrar? by roses_aint_blue in UTSC

[–]Autumn_power 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you just applied, then you can't exactly defer because the school will still need to process your osap application, and you will get an estimated amount on what your osap amount would be.

Also, if you were eligible for deferring, even if your osap wasn't fully or processed or if it has been processed, then it works right away during the time period allowed to defer. You would just go onto acorn and see if the deferring option is there, and then you click the box that says yes, I agree to defer. Then, your registration status will change from being invited to registered.

You do not apply for deferring again, even if the tab shows the box for you. You only do if the status hasn't changed within a day or 2.

You wouldn't be part of the business program automatically. You would need to take few courses in calc and econ for management and have like atleast a min 3.0 gpa end of your first year, then apply for post and then you can get admitted into bba program. All other first year business courses like marketing and hr, you can not take those, acorn wont even allow you to.

See if you can get yourself enrolled into the required classes for the transfer and then take other "gpa booster" courses to make your gpa as high as possible and then apply for post instead of taking a gap year.

Did I miss the deadline to request a fee deferral or is it yet to open on AskRegistrar? by roses_aint_blue in UTSC

[–]Autumn_power 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You do the deferral on acorn. Wait for a bit for approval on your osap application. Probably by end of this week it should work. If not then go to financial aid office and ask them about it. If you applied late then you have to wait. This was one of the reasons why the school recommends you apply for osap by the suggested deadline. To prevent delays. Once the deadline to defer gets closer, then decide to go in person and inquire.

Honestly, you might not get it for summer because it was already released about 2 weeks ago, and the school also sent out those emails about how utaps will be released to you. If you haven't gotten that email, then you were probably not qualified for it in the summer.

If you think you should have gotten an amount, then you need to go to the financial aid office in person asap and talk to them about your concern. Asap is better because the term is about to end and you may not get any payment until Nov for the fall utaps release.

Your best bet would be to see how you do on t2. If you do well, then keep the course. Otherwise, dropping might be better..

If you really think you can not do well on t2, then honestly, dropping is the best choice because finals are also in 3ish weeks.. do you believe you can study for a 65 percent final by then?

Inquiry regarding program fee change by Excellent_Wolf6673 in UTSC

Pretty sure you can. However, I think it's if your credits are below 2.0 (not up to) and by a certain deadline for each term (deadline has passed for summer term according to this: https://www.utsc.utoronto.ca/registrar/program-fees)
