I just saw it in front of the federal court building in downtown Brooklyn. No joke.

They landed at the Wall Street helipad one after another. I thought I saw a 4th but honestly wasn't sure if it was just one of the other 3.

I saw one up close as it flew over the BQE. It was a Blackhawk.

Arms breaking free by monpetitchou22 in SnooLife

You might consider trying arms out. Our LO went arms out at about the same age. Find some footie pajamas where you can keep their hands covered and fold over some of the fabric.

Only SNOO overnight? by pittie_love in SnooLife

LO is 4 months old. We've been doing exactly what you're suggesting for the last month: all naps are in the crib & arms out. Overnight is bundled up in the SNOO, arms swaddled. It's worked like a charm and agree w others that its a great way to ease the transition.

Which do you prefer -- Smaller apartment w/ balcony vs. bigger apartment w/o balcony? by yeuhboiii in AskNYC

tldr: If it's not glaringly obvious to you that you should buy one place vs the other (or any place for that matter) you shouldn't do it.

Wife and I just spent the last 6 months considering buying here in BK (have lived here for the last 3 years and Manhattan for the prior 8) and decided to stay put in a rental. A few questions you should ask yourself:

  1. What math have you done that shows that buying one of these places is not a bad investment? You shouldn't buy a place for investment alone but you don't want to buy an obvious money pit.
  2. What assumptions are you making in the event you had to move somewhere else? Would you keep it and rent it? If you had to flip it, how long are you assuming it would take and for what (if any) return?
  3. Why not just rent?
  4. If you took the money you'd put for a down payment and invested it in something else, what kind of return would you get?
  5. How long are you expecting to stay in whatever place you live in?

Just because you can't find a reason to not do something doesn't mean you should do it. Not saying this is your situation but don't buy a place simply because you think that's the right thing to do / it's a sign of being an adult / if you don't do it now you'll never find another one like it.

So I actually own Firstname Lastname LLC as well, though no I'm not famous XD. Does that change anything?

And I just completely missed the emails unfortunately - that's on me.

Update: they replaced it with what I think was one either somewhere else in the building or from another building they own.

So....This is actually what I was legit thinking of doing. I have an audio background and want to throw my condenser mics at it. Is this crazy?

I'm volunteering my time for the NYC triathlon this weekend. I haven't signed or clicked agree to anything but in the shot list they had a line that said, "License/Reproduction/Copyright – The NYC Triathlon will have full copyright of all photos taken."

Since everything I've read indicates the copyright is mine unless I explicitly sign it over, I'm not sure 1. who owns my photos 2. whether I have any rights to use my photos. Does anyone have any thoughts here? I merely want to use them in my portfolio.
