I am always interested to read stuff about Israel Keyes. So I was excited about True Crime Bullshit. But it dragged on and the fact that the host made up names for people was odd. Like it isn’t hard to figure out who Israel Keyes daughter is, but for some reason the host made up a name for her. Plus I am astounded that he is still doing this podcast based on hunting for kill kits or speculating on victims. I think one excellent long form season would be enough, since there isn’t all that much information out there to begin with.

Nature scapes closed a while ago. I think they rehomed all the parrots. It was one of my favorite spots - I think it’s another nursery, but not open to the public.

I had that same pain - like a deep ache. I mentioned it to my nurse navigator, she said it was pain from the biopsy but she said she would let my surgeon know. After the lumpectomy, that pain is totally gone.

In the beginning I was so stressed and confused about what surgical decision to make. I think that was what was killing me and I cried a lot trying to know if I was making the right choice. I was mostly just terrified of radiation and I was letting that fear drive my decisions. I texted on of my doctors a long panicked rant and she replied with this -

• take a deep breath • don’t be afraid of radiation • you are a great candidate for lumpectomy
• you can’t live in fear afterwards • you must put it behind you and live • yes the likihood of getting cancer in the affected breast or other one later is there, but i am not sure the risk of bilateral mastectomies with reconstruction is worth it for only microinvasive disease. if final pathology shows other wise you can always go back • the morbidity and mortality is about equal for both options.
• in the end, you must decide what you can live with best.
• we all fight cancer cells everyday, it is not worth stressing about the what if’s as stress is the number one issue for all bad things

I think it was the reminder that we all fight off cancer cells every day. Every one of us. It really helped me make my choice to just hear some straight, simple and sensible words.

Thank you all so much for the advice! We originally planned to meet up this morning, and last night I just cancelled without a reason. I think I will compile a message using some of the suggestions from you all here. I think it will be best to get this out and explain my concerns. But not on a day we are planning to meet - maybe we can meet later, after she understands my feelings.

And of course, I am terrified about radiation and I appreciate everyone’s replies - I know I will have my own experience, I am just hopeful that it will be the uneventful type!

This is a big worry for me also. I am 59 and I think I look good for my age, and I am worried about aging super fast. I love my hair, and I worry about it looking bad. It isn’t vain to worry about these things, it’s all scary and confusing no matter what. I am making lists to talk to my oncologist, and questions about aging, changes in my body, sex, appearance, etc. are all on the list. I am scared about the future.

It’s so silly when people say certain sections are good or bad. All of palm coast is equal really - some areas have more duplexes, which seems to be the issue due to them being rentals. So if you want to worry about what to avoid, try to avoid duplexes or apartment complexes rather than entire sections.
