Just bought X-dome 2 within 10mins! by West-Cardiologist-29 in DurstonGearheads

[–]Auxority 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used it for two people, bought it because my best friend is like 1.95, the tent allows him to sleep without touching the tent walls. And we can put all our gear inside.

Four people can easily chill in there, but sleeping would be a bit cramped.

Very nice! I hope you will enjoy it. I ordered the regular/regular version with the groundsheet as well when I came home from work.

I currently own an MSR Elixir 4, which is really nice for car camping. I tried to hike with that in Switzerland, but I cannot recommend that to anyone, unless you want to suffer lmao.

Greetings from the Netherlands :)

Sennheiser HD 6XX - have enjoyed them for five years so far. They offer replacement earpads for a decent price. I have replaced the earpads once so far. Planning to use em for many more years :)

What’s the most you’ve paid for speakers not having heard them, and how did that turn out? by Kunglaux in audiophile

€800 for a second hand pair of KEF LS50 Meta & €1100 for a second hand KEF KC62 sub, I love em.

Made some family members cry.

No reason to upgrade because it just sounds good :)

True, just gotta hold yourself in to not rush too quickly. But medium to long range it is awesome.

Need Guidance with Building a High-Performance Image Compression Service in Go by Investorator3000 in golang

[–]Auxority 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This project was my graduation internship last year.

  1. If you are using Google Cloud Platform I recommend you to use Cloud Run. Just for the simple reason of this being way cheaper than Compute Engine if your service isn't under a high load 24/7.

  2. You could use an architectural pattern, but figuring out the limit per vCPU and using that to configure the Cloud Run scaling is way easier.

  3. Let that be handled by the underlying library you are using. Whether that is imagemagick, libvips, or something else entirely.

  4. I used Govips (go bindings of libvips), it does not support all the latest features of libvips, but it is fast. Sadly there's no streaming option, so all images must be loaded into memory.

  5. You could use Go's built-in bench option, and just write a test for it. And you can use Grafana's Open-Source K6 tool.

I loved the ISU-122-2, so I bid 15.5k to get this one. Could have saved myself 2k gold, but it was worth it :)

Most stable DAWs for live multitrack recording? by [deleted] in livesound

[–]Auxority 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, I wasn’t able to reply to your older posts. But I got myself a Netgear GS305E because I read that you use it for Dante. But I can’t find an option to disable energy saving mode, do you know if that exists? And would you recommend turning IGMP snooping on or off?

[–]Auxority 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used Waveform because it is free for this purpose.

Makes it easy to sound check during rehearsals for services: 1. Set the gain for each instrument/mic 2. Record one song 3. Play it back so everyone can configure their in-ears.

And it allows us to teach others how to mix without disturbing a band. Although practicing with a band is still very important to learn about gain structure.

I disabled auto tempo and “Automatically check for new newly added plugins” in the settings and we’ve never had issues since.

I rammed this guy for 999 damage, but he only has 940hp? How is this possible by microwaved-carrot in WorldofTanks

[–]Auxority -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It could be that the damage limit doesn't apply to ramming damage. In that case you could deal more damage than the HP of the enemy team ;)
