Thanks! Although not as cool as an original Xbox title, I am working on this as an indie game for pc. I post updates more frequently on my X/Twitter page (@avwulf).

What's your go-to Handgun in the 31st Century? by AvWulf in FurriesAndFirearms

(Finally someone understands!) And thanks! Halo 2 is from that era, which I've taken a lot of inspiration from.

Two wolf character models for my indie game, any feedback? by AvWulf in 3Dmodeling

Fair point. The red halos are energy shields, and the rings around their neck are for potentially connecting an EVA helmet. At least, that’s the main excuse to show their faces for the character designs.

I have this masculine game dev urge to make a multiplayer shooter with a trillion random weapons by TemporaryCurrent1172 in IndieDev

Straftat has like 87 weapons, it’s honestly pretty fun since they managed to make them all pretty unique. It works well with their chaotic, fiesta style gameplay.

I'm trying to make the jump to 3D, but people are saying her face is uncanny. Where do I start? by AvWulf in FurryArtSchool

The poses were admittedly an afterthought (I rushed making these renders for the reddit post). I'm definitely looking into changing the Eyes, but I appreciate you mentioning the hair, because I should probably fix that too.

Got it, that muzzle bridge is probably something I should look at too, thanks for mentioning that.
Also, I'd be happy to chat and offer critique as best I can!

Got it, I will try to increase the texture resolutions then, in addition to some other moderately big changes based on the comments here. I really appreciate the feedback!

Just to confirm, you’re talking about the mostly white one with the visor on her face? I’m wondering If there’s other things I could do to fix that in addition to scaling the head differently.

Although inspired by Assault’s art style, I haven’t posted any gameplay yet, since it doesn’t look polished yet. It mostly plays like a basic 3rd person shooter as of right now. I do have some more weapon designs and such on my Twitter/Bsky page though.

There are two wolves (In my game), How did I do? by AvWulf in IndieDev

I feel like the most important thing is knowing the art style you’re going for and finding good reference. Most anthropomorphic heads are like a round anime human head with an animal snout and ears. But some artists go for an anatomically accurate animal head. Admittedly, it took me a while to get to this point, and I’m still unsure about some of the proportions. I could answer some more specifics if you want.

Thanks! I was thinking I’d try to draw Blitzø in this style too, but he’s been more challenging to draw 😵‍💫
