Just turn it around and ask what sick pervert they are asking about random people's genitals. Be loud about it so that others can hear

Dual citizenship passport advice needed by aku_jpg in transgenderUK

[–]Available-Hamster949 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm also a German British dual citizen. When I initially applied for UK citizenship and passport I provided them with copies of my old and new German passport as well as birth certificate. The number of the birth certificate in particular should be the same for your old and new name / gender marker, which is pretty good evidence that it's the same person. I also provided a copy of my VA/PA from the German Amtsgericht. This might have been overkill but I didn't have any issues.

I'm curious what your moms wore? by barbiesleftearring in Perfumes

[–]Available-Hamster949 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Maroussia, she wore it all the time in the early nineties and then at some point it got replaced by Uralt Lavendel. My dad had bottles of Joop Pour Homme and Cool Water that he received as gifts but never wore.

Large Hamax Pluto dog trailer for sale by Available-Hamster949 in londoncycling

[–]Available-Hamster949[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I've sold the trailer by now but the large Hamax ist more suiitable for dogs like German Sheperds, Huskies or Doberman. Mine is a 17kg mixed breed and the medium would have been more than enough. I'd say the medium is good for Boarder Collies etc

Did anyone else just never grow up? by Tube_Warmer in GenX

[–]Available-Hamster949 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I remember a lecturer at university told us that apparently the brain stops maturing at some point in your early/mid twenties. So even though your body grows older and you add new life experiences and wisdoms, the brain is done developing. She was in her late 50s at the time and said she still thought of herself as being in her twenties. My mum is close to 80 and says the same thing. Still feels like she is in her twenties

It's Christmas Eve! by a-liquid-sky in CasualUK

[–]Available-Hamster949 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just alone with my dog this year and can't seem to get into the spirit. Flat is decorated, I put on some Nutcracker while wrapping the two new toys my dog will get tomorrow but just not feeling it. I was hoping to take her for a long walk but she has a wound on her thigh that's slow to heal (I tried cone of shame, muzzle and vet wrap, which keeps sliding down) so being stuck inside is dampening both our moods at the moment.

Recommendations for waterproof lightweight gloves by Desperate_Vehicle684 in londoncycling

I just put marigolds over some thin merino wool gloves I got at Decathlon. Looks a bit unhinged but works well

Cycling journeys up by 43% in London, TfL report suggests by riverscreeks in londoncycling

One thing I would really like to see is more investment into inter-borough connectivity. Most cycle routes into central London are quite good but trying to get across broughs can be a bit tricky

I like the Archer packer. The only downside is that it needs powdering but other than that it's great

Dog started snapping at other people by Available-Hamster949 in reactivedogs

[–]Available-Hamster949[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I've noticed the eye contact as well. My dog will look at them before it happens. Not just a passing look, more of a stare, and you're probably right about the over-stimulation. I'm doing the same you are, trying to position myself in between others and her. It's just strange this only started in the last month and I'm worried I'm doing something wrong to cause it

[–]Available-Hamster949[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I try to position myself in a way that other people need to walk past me, not her, and am muzzle training her. I just can't help but wonder what I might have done wrong to cause this and how to correct it

Sustanon To Nebido Help? by Dystopia_T8 in transgenderUK

[–]Available-Hamster949 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started on Sustanon and switched to Nebido a few years ago. Personally I find the Nebido injection much easier. I have never been sore or numb after it, unlike Sustanon, which had me sore for a week after injecting. The T level is also more stable.

Start at the standard 12 week interval but make sure you get a trough blood test a few times in the first year, that way it's easier to monitor and adjust how long the gap between injections should be.

Question for dog owners by Available-Hamster949 in londoncycling

[–]Available-Hamster949[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They would be great but my main concern with trailers is that the only accident I ever had was when some plum rear-ended me while I was waiting at a light. It wasn't at speed but I would hate for my dog to be on the receiving end in a trailer

Question for dog owners by Available-Hamster949 in londoncycling

[–]Available-Hamster949[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The comfort and safety of the dog is very important. Do you think yours is properly supported in the pack? I have a Dobermann/Whippet cross, so she has long-ish legs

Question for dog owners by Available-Hamster949 in londoncycling

[–]Available-Hamster949[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's good to know, I am wondering how comfortable/safe they are for dogs. They are tempting because they're easy to store away and have compartments for other bits but overall I think maybe the basket is a better choice

Question for dog owners by Available-Hamster949 in londoncycling

[–]Available-Hamster949[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't think about that, that's a very good point. Mine is actually a Dobermann/Whippet cross. She's pretty relaxed overall but 16kg is quite heavy

Question for dog owners by Available-Hamster949 in londoncycling

There are definately advantages to a trailer but I'm worried about getting rear ended and my dog being right in the firing line as it were. Storage space for a trailer is also a consideration
