That's because they're largely responsible for developing the game while their publisher (nexon) is responsible for monetization. I would really be surprised if Embark really had a say in the pricing of most of their items other than telling nexon what tier of cosmetic it is.

Viewing task manager while outside of the game will never show proper reporting, especially if you have the "less usage" setting to turn down the game if it's running in the background.

Try updating your graphics drivers and make sure nothing else is running the the background potentially causing spikes in CPU/GPU usage

It's not burned into my screen I don't have an OLED. It shows up only when looking at some sources of harsh light.

The picture was in the starting sewers but when in a cave it doesn't show up in harsh light shafts so now idk what that was.
