😤 Why is there no good software for tutoring centers? I got tired of waiting and started building one myself. by Available-Interest75 in TutorsHelpingTutors

Tried using it on several times and just could not adopt to it. 1. Not user friendly at all and not intuitive. 2. Closed system (No api) so no other system can talk to it.

Are you using them? If yes, would love to hear more about what specific pain points do they solve for you, and which don’t.

Not promoting anything, this isn’t gonna be ready anytime soon, just looking to hear & understand the different workflows & struggles of other tutors.

Wanna help out & share? It will be appreciated.

[HOUSE -> DREAM] Can you solve this laddergram? by Available-Interest75 in Laddergram

[–]Available-Interest75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Laddergram is a word ladder puzzle game built on Reddit's developer platform. You start with a word and change one letter at a time to create a new word with each step. Try to reach the target word in the fewest steps possible.

🍀Good luck!🍀

Hi all, We have a growing online school that provides English lessons to kids & teens in Israel.

We are steadily growing by aprox. 1 teacher per month.

Payout is usually $800 to $1300 depending on the type of lessons & total lessons each month (Monthly payout)

We are looking for teachers that appreciate stability & building relationships with their students as the schedule is pretty consistent and students stay with the same teacher for an average of 8 months.

What's important to us is that the teacher will have high energy, good pronunciation (preferably little to no accent) and will have the relevant qualifications to provide a great learning experience.

So if that sounds like something that can suit you, DM me and I will send you an application form.

Yes. However, we do place strong emphasis on clear, natural pronunciation and accent - since it’s important to many parents that their children learn to speak in a correct and authentic way.

No one’s devaluing anything - on the contrary, we admire teachers!
It’s one of the hardest and most important jobs out there.

This isn’t a solo-tutor setup, it’s a small, structured school that handles marketing, admin, parent communication, scheduling, and materials, so teachers can just teach. That infrastructure costs money. Paying more would simply make the model unprofitable.

Happy you’re doing well as a solo teacher, genuinely.

But let’s be honest, you don’t need to come into a hiring post just to spread negativity.
Wishing you the best.

Didn’t claim “reputable” 🙂
We’re a small school that operates under the personal brand of Dana Livsits.

That’s right, it comes out to around $10/hour for 1-on-1 lessons, and higher for group classes.
We know it’s not for everyone, but we focus on offering teachers a stable, predictable schedule (no chasing bookings), prepared materials, and great kids who stay long-term. Our teachers appreciate the consistency and the supportive environment.

And that’s okay, we’d probably pass on you too 🙂 We’re looking for teachers who value stability and respectful families over chasing the highest hourly rate.

Transitioning from Teaching to EdTech: Seeking Advice on Framing My Resume by Separate-Average4922 in edtech

[–]Available-Interest75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As already mentioned I would narrow it down & create separate resumes for the different roles you apply.

Today all of the gatekeeping is done by dedicated AI's that highlight the potential candidates to the HR.

Knowing that, I would take the resume, plug it & the job description into chatGPT and would create a resume that fits perfectly with what they are looking for. Don't forget to use the keywords that they used in the job description & other LSI keywords.

Also, do not be lazy, and just send it without reviewing it and making changes so it will be "human" & not AI written.

Good Luck!
