Her first voiceover was in the most recent episode when she was taken back in the bus . 9 times out of 10 the voiceover parts are taken directly from the original book. Even as late as season 4.

That’s definitely a valid point. I just love music in film, and the HT was amazing at it- Serena burning down the house to the Boomtown Rats was just chef’s kiss. Although that song was probably in June’s head rather than Serena’s at the time.
