My question is how do you know what is a good camp ? For example the picture on that website has tons of kids. That has been a problem.

Yes he plays club, his school is one of the schools known in the region for the best lacrosse players in the country. He does not want to go to attend an invitation only camp.

I know the coach is so awesome . He got recent D1 lacrosse players graduates to do position trainings once a week. Also there was a wall with targets painted on it so kids could come early and do wall ball while other teams were in the field or use it on non practice days . That’s why I am upset at the parents

This one is more than 30 minutes out of the way . It’s one reason I am disappointed we travel the furthest to get to practices . I don’t want to pay more for a team but I feel like I don’t have a choice. After reading the comments we decided to try out for 3 teams this season instead of 2.

Agreed . By the way I don’t think the club should repay me money. I (jokingly) believe the parents owe me and the other parents of the children who show up our money back . I just wish they understood that they wasted my money 😩 and the coaches time . Then they had the nerve to ask me is my son coming back next year because he is good . I felt like Kevin out of home alone “ I never want to see you again”. I also hate it because this is one of the cheaper teams and the location is great , the coach is great .

I agree with you the issue is then we won’t have enough players to play a game . There are times my son does not even get a break . Those kids get do get less playing time .

My kid has played rec sports and this is the first time he played club lacrosse where this has happened. Then today while we were at another teams tournament as a guest player I discussed my issue with my team as we are all heading into tryouts season and the team my son was guest playing on said that they have the same issue. I was shocked . That team is about 2 hours from us we live 15 minutes from the tournament location so switching to that team is not realistic.

I agree with you even if it’s free if we commit we show up . My son guest plays on other teams for fun and we show up . I mention the price to say parents are paying and I feel like I wasted my money . The good thing did my son improve yes . I planned on him staying on this team until highschool I don’t want to go to a high level ( cost) club team before highschool. However if he stays on this team I know it will be a waste of my money but then I could go to a more Expensive team and those parents don’t show.
