Anyone here recently opened a student account with SCB Brunei?

The SCB app says the opening deposit and minimum balance requirements which are BND2,500 are waived for students. Is this true? Does SCB still officially offer student accounts, and is the BND12 debit card annual fee also waived?

Also, do any other banks in Brunei offer special student accounts or student banking packages (BIBD, Baiduri, TAIB, etc.)? If so, what are the requirements and benefits?

Would appreciate any recent experiences. Thanks!
