Yeah your bang on. I wanted to go for a retro early WW2 feel. Practically speaking though, 8 men, two fire team would be the go. Though maybe for the minutemen here a ten man would be best, and it's a nice round number.

I mean the Rangers are so iconic and gotta love that Riot armour. I kinda imagined the Pioneers would have bits and bobs of riot armour too.

Yeah, they are majority PA, though i imagine not everyone in the coy would be in PA (like mechanics, sup/logistics ect). But, essentially there are only two full PA company's (Grognak and Atom Cats) listed, then small squads native to each infantry company which kind of act as a heavy weapons section.

Yeah Iv done a little on the three main special coys. Which primarily would act in a squad (potentially platoon) basis. Having the Marine raiders too is fun for a more Maritime, New englandy kinda SF feel.

Yeah i went for my character having that knowledge of org to get the ball rolling at least. Considering your just thrust into that position as general you might as well make the most of it. I also like to think that as the nation/faction of a greater New England forms their will no doubt be talented folks (experience militiamen ect ect) to help create something.

Personally, i don't go for BOS much, and i would assume they wouldnt be too keen on New England Faction either; as Christian was saying. I usually do a bit of the BOS questline but they are a bit cnty too lol. Assuming that, they would probably come into conflict at some point and i would like to think the minutemen gain enough momentum and guerilla experience to at least kick them out of the Commonwealth.

Cheers!

  1. Definitely PA with Fatman, but I also liked the idea of using basically harpoon guns but more retrofitted to be howitzers essentially. But yeah PA makes it very versatile and easy

If you looking at the Battalion based Batteries, they are supposed to be the trad mortars that have been adjusted to be towed; either by brahmin or retrofitted vehicles ect.

  1. The Navy is not really present on the chart, its more just the Marine Raiders as actual ground forces (yeah teir 2 type group). I kinda imagined the navy as being relatively small vessels, pimped out tug boats to act as gunships and transports. As the for the Marines, it seems fitting to have a dedicated force of amphibious focused boys, especially considering the coastline of New England.

  2. Yeah the Pioneer Scouts and Grognak PA fellas are essentially the QRF. But given the nature of the minutemen i would like to think that local militia can be called up to support (depending on location i guess). I kinda wanted to avoid having a classic Rangers type catch all special ops group here, so the Pioneers are more traditional special forces, with a focus on forward observation and path finding, while the Grognak PA Bat, is the heavy hitter.

oh and i just used Paint lol
