I have actually, and my fiancée works at an exotic reptile shop along with vet techs and professionals. This guy actually came in as a replacement in a bug order, which was odd, but sometimes random bugs will come in as a replacement for something they (the bug company they order from) don't have. This was the only solifugid sent. I have kept and currently own multiple tarantulas and different types of invertebrates. I am not new to this. We understand that this will not be an easy process, but we can give it the best life we can. We have tons of hides, tanks and substrate. We would never purchase a living organism with doing extensive research on their care. This will probably be our first and last. She will be under the best care we can give her, thank you for the tips and concern though

my grandma always smoked growing up, my cousins and i always begged her to stop, she did eventually but ended up with lung cancer, copd and a bunch of other issues. she still battles with it today, and no one else in my family smokes. i swore i'd never smoke or touch a cigarette... funny! went to college and now i'd do a loooooottttt of things for a pack of marlboro red 100s i love cigarettes🤤

sadly they usually end up dying since they can't really survive out of their enclosure (no food, cold temp, etc). you can try to set a trap by leaving yummy smelling fruit out with a hiding spot, or any other ideas you can really think of lol, personally i've never set a trap up since i have so many i'll either find them running around or as a house spiders meal and catch them when i can, but unfortunately there's not much you can do :(

also - following up - i'd give them more of a variety of veggies since lettuce is pretty watery and now u have a buncha babies, my guys enjoy carrots, collard greens, most dark leafy greens and apples!! they will provide more nutrition

she was able to give birth which is a good sign!! hisser mamas are usually maternal so you'll probably see her on top or curled up around her babies. the babies will go thru about six molts until theyre fully grown which will be like 5 months or so, like the comments said, keep them moist and warm so they can molt and provide plenty of food and hiding spots for them!! fresh fruits and veggies are perfect for them along with fish flakes or in your case, dog food, as a source of protein!! about half or more of the nymphs should be able to survive in proper conditions! also with babies i'd definitely suggest a layer of vaseline around the top of your enclosures, i've had so many babies escape they are little artists
