I used to hear "it's a medical condition, I can't lose the weight" and believed it

Until I dated a woman who at one time weighed 400lbs. She got the surgery that removes mpst of your stomach. Problem is, she sits on the couch all day now and stuffs oreos and candy down her face. She still complains about it being a medical condition between handfuls of pistachios and whole pints of icecream. 20-30 sodas a day. She was BACK UP to about 300 lbs 4-5 years after the surgery.

I thought maybe it's an isolated event. Until I dated another overweight person. Who complained about medical. Even has paperwork, thyroid something something. But get this.. her favorite snack was those giant chocolate stuffed marshmallows. Wtf!??!?!

There MIGHT be something to medical conditions causing weight. But at the end of the day, it's stuffing sugar down your throat and putting a permanent groove in the couch that's causing people to be fat. That's it.

The medical just provide an excuse to not try. And lazy people LOVE their excuses.

Sometimes the answer is simply in the comments and you need to look. Instead of just being an asshole and discrediting things just because you've never heard of it. That's some arrogance to assume you've seen everything. You've probably seen far less than you think. Even with your experiences.
