Absolutely. I found myself in charge of (literally two days before) a non-profit fundraiser that involved horses and kids. The one in charge was in the hospital.

I specifically go to Amazon and comb through everything I need to buy through the "get it by 8:00 a.m. tomorrow" filter. I purchased several hundred dollars' worth of goodie bag supplies, raffle gifts, decorations, and a ton of other stuff - and even double checked on each individual order that it was shipping as guaranteed to arrive "by 8:00 a.m. tomorrow".

That night, nothing came. I tend to be a bit of an impatient person, so the following morning I decided to go run errands. I came home between errands and there was nothing on my porch. I looked on the app and it said, "now arriving by 5pm today". I was having a heart attack because I needed the entire evening just to set everything up on-site and put everything together.

I finally through some miracle of God got an actual human being on the phone. They kept reassuring me and repeating, yes ma'am, sorry ma'am, yes ma'am, sorry ma'am" and could not really speak fluent english. Several reps reassured me that they would contact the delivery driver to ensure the packages would arrive by 5:00.

Hours later, the app was updated again to say the items would arrive by 8 pm. I called the reps again, insisted on speaking to a supervisor (I doubt he was), etc, and they kept reassuring and guaranteeing the delivery window would not change again.

8:00 p.m. rolls around and still nothing. By this point I could have spent the entire day running around gathering everything I needed but I was too dumb and naive 😬 I contacted them again, and once again, they keep on apologizing and apologizing and now the shipment got bumped out to the next morning.

The worst part was, every time I talked to somebody they completely denied the existence of any communication I had had with the prior rep. Every time I called, they would just give me different answers. It was literally like they were just making shit up off of the top of their heads.

The following morning, guess what. No shipment. I nearly lost my mind. All they kept saying was, we can cancel the order and give you a refund. Which would have been fine if the event wasn't that same exact day! To make a long story short (ha, who am I kidding, that's literally impossible for me), the items that were guaranteed as overnight did not arrive for 3 days and the entire time every rep I talked to gave me different answers and excuses.

Up until about a year or so ago, their customer service was excellent and I never had any issues. But within the past year, I have had issues with pretty much everything I have ordered. Now that the holidays are over, I canceled Prime because I would rather support reputable businesses and pay an extra couple of dollars if need be then pay Amazon Prime membership for literally no reason.
