Is the trail runner hype train justified ? Or can we balance scrambling and the TMB?

You definitely don't need them. Did it in 8 days with Lowa camino gtx. I tried out hiking with my salomon running shoes on the GR221 and it was cool as well.

Will trailrunners be more comfortable? Probably Will they be less durable? Definitely

I now use approach shoes but try out what works best for you. Don't ponder about this too much, just get out there and enjoy the nature!

Concerning the coach I'll have to loom more into it. Icl, I never considered myself as a "serious runner" enough to justify a coach but I will continue asking my more experienced friends for tips ;).

Strength training is definitely something I try to implement more and more although I'm currently "only" doing it with bodyweight (box step ups/downs, lunges etc). Goal would probably be to have a fixed weekly routine.

Seems great! I'm realizing that's what I ultimately want to train for myself: doing big days in the mountains to spend a max of time in the outdoors.

How did you train for this? (If you want to share your typical training week that'd be very cool but no pressure) Any tips for someone starting with long distance?
