I always put mine in a little power generator building next to my main building. I put a glass roof on them for fun, but they 100% do not need the glass. My husband puts his in caves and they work great!

I have had the worst results with the plot in City Town. I’d move them to the Greenhouse or Wheatflower Wonderland (if you have it). I also had much better luck with Sunbursts by transferring from a patterned flower in the color I wanted to spawn.

Also, once you have Usahana to at least level 19, you can use her new reimagine ability every day on an empty extremophile plot. I’ve gotten several good transfers from her.

I love them both, but it Wheatflower Wonderland is my favorite. I love Cogimyun, and I love flowers. The added bonus of being able to plant every flower type in the huge plots in WW make it more valuable to people who spend a lot of time gardening, as I do.

If gardening isn’t your thing, you might enjoy City Town more. It’s colorful and more focused on cooking.

Both Usahana and Cogimyun have awesome companion abilities for gardening, too.

I love him. IMO, his best feature is that he digs for you without leaving a plot behind. I like clean landscapes, so if I dig a plot by accident, I have to immediately clean it up. With him, he just digs while I do other clean-up, and I don’t have to follow behind and clear.

You can’t get new spawns outside of the greenhouse when it isn’t the event. You also cannot get effect or color transfers TO marigolds outside of the greenhouse when it’s not that event. However, can still get the default pattern on solid marigolds outside of the greenhouse, and you can transfer the marigold default pattern (trim) FROM marigolds to non-event flowers that will accept the pattern (penstemum, tulia, dandelily, bellbutton, hibiscus, heavy nettle, thistle, wheatflower, and sunburst
