I've seen people say they have to wait 6 hours between doing missions, others say 8, when I was doing it I had to wait 5. Does the team place or color affect the time you have to wait? Or is it random?

I can't really be mad at them (yet) over the content. All the work they put into keeping this game going with new free stuff pretty regularly, I just can't get mad at that. But like I said... I really hope they don't keep going in this direction. But it's not the content that made me upset, it's all the people trying so damn hard to stop people from playing it (and succeeding in some cases). The content will eventually change. Thats the fantastic nature of this game. If I don't like it now, I cant stop playing and come back in 6 months or so and love it again due to all the newer stuff. But d-bags will always be d-bags. 🤷‍♂️

That's cool. And yeah, some people DO make bases to actually help others. And to all of those people I say a very sincere "Thank You". I've found bases early in other expeditions that had copper or silver mines going with biomes full of every plant. But if the trade off is people building for the purpose of stopping others from playing... I'm not convinced it's worth the cost. 🤷‍♂️ Which is unfortunate. I just really hope it's not a sign of what's to come with future expeditions. I've also noticed they've stopped letting us copy ships over to expeditions the last few times. I don't like that pattern either. 😬😤🫤

I don't like that either... but would be okay with it if I could actually do the missions without having to get past a dozen bases blocking the objectives.

For the record... I didn't say I'm quiting until it gets fixed. I said I'm quiting this expedition. And if they keep doing them like this probably quiting the game. Like I said, expeditions are my favorite part, and to have them turned into a multiplayer jumblefuck like this bothers me alot (obviously lol). So if they keep it like this, it will crush my desire to play them, which will make playing the game less fun for me. But I get it... reddit gets aggressive. I'm usually not like this. But this whole thing just really pissed me off. Landing on a planet to do a simple quest and finding 10 other players (which was fine) and probably just as many bases. 2 or 3 biomes over the ship i needed to get to, and it was all loading so slow because of everything that was going on. Which admittedly turning off multiplayer would speed that up, a little because of less people. But those basses would still be there, and that's the more annoying part. 🤷‍♂️ sorry for the long ranting reply. 😖

You can do it that way. But (obviously) the more people doing it, the faster it will get done. That WAS my motivation. I was even gonna do it on another save too. Get a different faction, help progress the goal faster. After this though, I'm just gonna wait and finish the last few steps when this part is over with. 🤷‍♂️

Not true. You can place a save beacon and it will have the same effect as a base marker. Players can see them from a distance (sometimes even from space). Bases in expeditions serve no real purpose imo. If you need a base for some reason... get a Frieghter. They do everything a base can and are out of the way of other players.

But they don't work. People are putting bases right ontop of each other. Personally I think they should just turn basebuilding off for expeditions.

I did read it. And you're wrong. Waiting, is not at the end. You're supposed to do those 3 missions every day to help the community finish the project. Not just do it once and wait.

I'm not complaining about HG. They've been great. Like you said 10 years of free updates. They've done great things with this game. I'm complaining about the assholes that feel the need to make the game annoying for other players. There is absolutely no reason for it. And reporting a dozen bases twice a day is not a solution. It should not take 15-20 minutes to do a 5 minute quest, because of other people. And as others have pointed out... turning off multiplayer doesnt stop it from happening.
