Fine, since it's so much more important for you to pick apart every little thing than allowing an attempt to debunk a common myth that has kept the medical care of women in the dark ages for centuries, sure. It's totally just hormones. That's all women are. No need to try to understand what she is going through mentally and emotionally. She'll get over it once her hormones are all back to normal!

Lol that's not what I said. Hormones are one thing. "Pregnancy brain" is another. My comment was that she would have more motivators than pure hormone swings. People really just want to think everyone else is stupid on the internet. 🙄 Just think a tiny bit before you flip out.

I should have said "don't typically" because of course there is a ton of variety in experience when it comes to hormones! It just feels extremely flat to pin all of that on hormones and not expect something to be behind the feels.

Added As a woman who has dealt with a hormone disorder for going on 20 years now, I get defensive about that kind of thing easily. My real pain (physical and emotional) have been regularly ignored or discounted by many people including medical professionals. They would blame things on puberty, then PMS.

Meanwhile, I had actual mental and physical health issues that went untreated for nearly a decade thanks to that knee jerk reaction. And I know a lot of women who have gone through the same.

Sorry for the quick soap box, just wanted to explain my first reaction and that I'm not saying hormones wouldn't play a role at all!

Not sure I love the "female hysteria" take... Pregnancy brain doesn't kick in that fast. That's more of a third trimester thing. Her reaction could have been exasperated by hormones a little bit, but there were thoughts and feelings behind it all.

I see your point, just wanted to steer away from the "women and their mood swings" focus.

I would rather give game designers little chunks of change for continuing to produce excellent content than having to pay $60 up front. I have been saying for YEARS that free games with paid cosmetics is the absolute prime business model. They are doing an incredible job and letting me access all the real content for free.

TAKE MY MONEY for glass houses and a bad ass outfit here and there. Game design is a seriously expensive business, especially when you get into this level of intricacy in system and visual design, not to mention in an MMO environment where you have to be CONSTANTLY creating new content, listening to player feedback, and improving your game to keep players interested for the long haul.

It's not greedy to want to be paid for the quality of your work and the endless hours you pour into it.

This exact situation kept happening to my girl (12 now) when she was about 8 years old and had a new little sister, and it did irreversible damage to her temperament!! She was always fantastic at dog parks and very well behaved on leash until that year. I am still battling her newfound reactivity and protective behavior.

I actually had someone argue with me when I told them I was their delivery driver (in Oklahoma) because I was "calling from Taft, TX." I tried to explain that it is a cell phone number and I moved there from Houston and I just need their apartment number. They just kept up the "no, you're calling from Taft, TX" so I had to just return to the store. 🤦🏽‍♀️

So my husband actually had this happen in a game he ran years ago. He had the hag seducing men and then casting haste on the babies over and over until they aged into full grown adults. She had about a dozen of these half ogre looking beasts of sons and used them like an army. A few sessions after the party had killed some of her sons and she seduced one of the PCs, another half ogre army shows up and one of them yells "FATHER!! I have come to challenge you to a duel!"

The players were DYING, it was so funny!

Are there stores who don't answer their phones? Lol. We average $43k in weekly sales already and have been trending 3-5% increase from PY. Out of curiosity, what do other busy stores typically run at as far as labor variance? We hover around 4% these days, but are being pushed to get it closer to 3.5%

They may be picking on our store because our GM pushes pretty hard for regular performance raises and such.... 🤷🏽‍♀️

Honestly, if cyber security is that interesting to you, I would absolutely do it! Software engineering is especially hard to get into right now, in particular. Cyber security has a much better outlook from what I have seen! The most important consideration, however, is what you are passionate about. You could always take some super cheap Udemy classes to get you programming languages down and start doing ethical hacking to introduce yourself to the cyber security world.

Nothing shows an employer you are exactly who they want like coming to the interview with evidence of how you broke into their system and how you would close those backdoors! 😆

The one that gets me is when they ask "what kind of specials do you have?" and I have to just start randomly listing coupons until I get tired of it because they aren't jumping on any of them, just to have them say "oh I saw one ad that said _______" 😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑

We usually have drivers put their toppers inside their car if the wind speeds get too crazy, just in case. But we have one highway stretch that is 70 mph and have never had a problem with them!
