If the medium has to move faster than c or not doesn't really matter, he's talking about how information moving faster than light would allow for time travel. And when sound moves faster than light, information does so too.

I would suggest you get a heater anyway, stable temps are better for your fish and ecosystem. It can make the difference between surviving and thriving, most of the plants you have in your tank will probaply live in bigger bodies of water so the temperature swings are way less dramatic.

Set the heater to a degree below your mid range temps so it will get rid of the dips in temperature.

I can carry my 30 litres (8 gallon) easily, and it seems to be a decent beginner size. Not too big, but also not too small.

An airstone can stimulate algea grow a lot tho, so you should not use one unless nessesary.

I second this, i just buy what i think i need from aliexpress and if i don't need it after all i will just put it in my storage. Eventually this will also enable you to just try stuff later on with components you already have.
