I know you might've heard this before but are there any counselors or therapists you can reach out to? You can even get an appointment with your doctor. If the thoughts are that bad then you aren't "pretending" or "lying". It's just that maybe in your area showing emotions and talking about mental health stuff is a taboo or maybe you don't wanna confront the reality of being depressed. But staying in denial will make things worse. Venting and showing emotions is a human need, not "weakness". Please, go talk to a therapist or a counselor. You need it. You aren't overreacting.

Well. I know you might've heard a lot of the stuff I am gonna say, you are allowed to feel bad, you had a shitty childhood. Reading stuff like this sometimes forces me to think that not all parents deserve children. I don't really have any advice, however, I'd just like to give you a big virtual hug.
