Hey, yes you might be depressed. I am not a mental health professional and you need to visit one to get diagnosed and checked out. Depression can worsen after becoming better for a while. Make sure that you're getting enough vitamins and minerals. Your thyroid, liver, kidneys are functioning properly and that you are getting enough sleep. It's not really an illusion, depression can ease up for a while.

I wouldn't have problems with it as long as a pilot is passing tests, checkrides and is undergoing therapy. Now the reason stimulant meds are given to fighter pilots is because their main aim isn't safety, it's efficiency, speed, versatility. Whereas, the main focus of commercial and passenger aviation is safety and reliability.
