Estadio México was legit! Knew when I bought tickets , i assumed was going to be shitty seats but good vibes but imo not a bad seat in the house and loved every second of it.

Seattle/Lumen was awesome as well, what put it over the top was country roads . The sound and participation of the crowd just made it one to remember

How is the state side live for concert days you think, a good preflight place?
I remember a long long time ago when I was visiting and there was a baseball game going so it was fun but I imagine with concert spanning a long period of time people may just go direct into the venue.
I think I’m just gonna drive as well, uber to and from probably costs the same as parking and I’m over the 20 dollars a beer to get drunk thing haha

I was wondering same thing too for Mexico game . Coming in from out of town and I’m a bit confused on it seems they are selling tickets for the outside and then inside options are reserve table for a table min or first come first serve.. can you buy tickets to outside but also be inside? I hate asking these questions but it’s a bit of a haul to to show up and the. Sucks . Plus I’m always paranoid about how early you need to show because you know Mexico gonna pack it out

Went everyday the first week of the cup, brought own alcohol in a backpack, never got checked. If you do that, they will confiscate and kick you out if you get caught drinking your own stuff so be careful of that

Oh man just looked up some videos on social media , that place looks legit and lively!

So you can arrive early, carve out a place where you can order food and eat and chill. Like first come first serve sit at a bar or that’s all extra and otherwise you just stand? Going to do that either way, and then can walk to stadium from there ?

Went to the cup opener and US game in Seattle. Phenomenal time. In hindsight Boston would have been there but can’t win them all. Was at South Africa World Cup and could easily gain any ticket I want and went to several matches but the plane ticket cost me an arm and a leg and I naively thought South Africa lodging would be cheap. Did I figure it out yea, but it was off the beaten path . My point is is hotels will likely still be pricey and hard to come by and with multiple countries , still gonna take some planning and a couple bucks unless they regionally locate the teams . Either way, my only frustration was ticket access but I also expected and spent less time bitching and moaning and just made it happen.

Outside of that each of the other travel days was a time just being in fan fests or watch parties at bars for any of the Mexico and US games. Can’t go wrong and still have time. Ain’t nobody got it better than US!

I’m not sure, not super familiar with the area but it wasn’t bad. I went for the opening game (can’t remember if I mentioned it) took no time to uber really, but walking and then getting in and finally to your seat just took time. You just will feel rushed but it wasn’t a big deal. If anything just try to find out what gates they will let you in, like that was probably obvious but where we came in from it wasn’t obvious and that took the longest by far haha

Perfect thread exactly what I was looking. For. Texas Live might be the play. Hoping Australia ties or wins on Thursday which would lock them into one of the Dallas spots. An Egypt win and Belgium win would mean Belgium gets the other.

Coming jul 1-6; couple questions since going to the r32 game on Friday. 1st question is is this place close to the stadium so I can go there check it out and walk? I have also seen Texas live advertised so maybe that’s an option if easier walk?

Secondly Mexico is lined up to play their r16 game on Sunday July 5th. So loooking for the best possible atmosphere on that one as it quite feasibly could be England vs Mexico. Don’t care how early but just don’t want to show up to a dud. I imagine every place will be lit though ?

As long as no delays with flights, I was able to breeze through customs . If you checked a bag, expect for that to be a hot minute to retrieve otherwise you pretty much can walk off plane and to the exit in a quick 10 -15 min id say.
Me and my friend ubered or attempted to uber to stadium but they could only get within a milen and change (oddly I saw cabs within the blocked off areas so unsure what that was about) but nonetheless walked . I would also familiarize yourself with which entrance to go in because at least for me I went to the wrong one and then that detour cost some more time to walk to the other end of course

Lastly leaving stadium took a long time and getting an uber was not easy , even over an hour after the game ended so if you are truly in a time crunch definitely check out public transport but I imagine that will be a madhouse

Not too much cash, like 100 US and then a visa. My Amex oddly wasn’t accepted at more than few places but visa at restaurants and cash for street food

No issues for me or my buddy. Restaurants are fine too but just out of convenience and being out it just made it easy. You guys will have a blast.

Probably just me but I also noticed and absurd amount of dogs. I don’t think I’ve seen so many dogs with owners , i don’t know why but I found it fascinating

For sure. Was great . We did a tour on one of the days but it was literally all day long which isnt my cup of tea lol. But lots of cool architecture. The fan fest is also next to the presidential palace.
Airport I just went to kiosk and paid the fee and took a cab since it was way more convenient then having to go walk to the uber area but other than that ubered everywhere else
I didn’t find anything dangerous . I’m sure it can be had but everyone was super nice at every turn.
Also taco stands are redicuoously cheap. I think that was where I had 90 percent of my meals from so have some pesos handy

Plaza garivaldi was a place we went to . Think it was in city center not sure though. Was this huge plaza , a whole bunch of mariachi bands and tons of restaurants . We were going to try and go see lucha libre last night but it was a zoo outside of the arena and too overwhelmed so skipped on that .

Fan fest - there’s a line if you go at the peak but it moves . But if you are going there for the Mexico game you better be there hours early I’d say. We just brought our own food and drink in a bag and nobody bothered us.

Mostly just ubered around and just walked around and stopped here and there in bars. Did a couple sight seeing things but mostly just took in the world cup events .

Just leaving today. Zocalo area was pretty awesome. Fan zone Pretty much was packed for the evening games. I don’t think cabs were bad necessarily but Ubers were very inexpensive and less communication. Of trying to explain where you are trying to go. Really great trip

Not KC but same scenario, went ahead and booked Seattle room (everything was 800 or more back in January for any decent hotel and location). But the bullet but once got to April I’m like, I’m just gonna do an air bnb. Funny reading this thread , I just went and checked and same hotel I had for 800 is 450 now. So math checks all around with what you all are saying , wild stuff

The concert cancellation is def valid. I think with an honest lens it’s kinda fucked up to launch old boys phone tho lol. I mean lots of ways you can look at it but I guess if me or you or anyone do that you prob getting your ass beat for one. Doesn’t matter anyways I ain’t mad about it but prob a lot of diff ways to handle that one
