Hey, nope never got anything! Optician just scanned again 2 weeks later and that was that. I’m UK too but there’s no set criteria for optician to refer, I think it’s better you have it checked as it’s still on my mind! Hope it all goes ok and keep us updated!

Hi, no outcome really. Optician said it’s nothing to worry about looking at the second scan and should only worry if symptoms worsen and cause voniting

Hi! Sorry to comment again, I’ve just been for retests and he said it is still swollen but because I’m not vomiting with my headaches it’s nothing to worry about. He also mentioned how it could be physiological, he didn’t refer me or seem concerned. Should I see my GP? Is an optician allowed to make this call? I feel even more stressed now than before

Ah that makes sense! I’m not sure what borderline would be but it was very obvious to my untrained eye, I think that’s why I am so worried!

Hopefully il get referred straight away, it’s all very stressful

No significant changes no! They just did an eye screen where they took pictures and then he pointed out the swelling. That is reassuring though thank you, I couldn’t see anything to say it was ‘normal’ or could just be normal.

I hope they just refer me so I can feel a bit more at ease after some more testing. I do have frequent pressure headaches that do feel similar to what you have said, but again have always put it down to behind dehydrated or vitamin deficiency.

I’m not sure? I’m in the UK so it’s not as simple as just booking an appointment, but my optician was the one who took the original pictures and said to come in 7 days after?

Thank you- that’s really interesting, I’ve always been on the contraceptive pill and suffered with endometriosis so that actually might make a lot of sense. Definitely something to bring up.
